IPV4 x IPV6 - Is there any difference between them to use on the internet?

I am sure we have people who have worked with PROXIES for more than 20 years in this section.

I'd like to understand if there is any difference if I use IPV6 proxies despite IPV4 proxies to:
- visit websites (new visit0 r s)
- w4tch v i de o s

I understand that IPV "6" is the version "6" of the IP addresses over the internet.
It does not mean it is not GOOD.
I think "G" a n a l y t i c s will understand that a visit from IPV4 or IPV6 will count as 1 new visitor, right? No difference between them.


I am asking this because I can get IPV6 numbers for a cheaper price than IPV4. So, I am interested in using them.

Yes. Most webservers today support ipv6 addresses. You should have no problem with registering a view with an ipv6 address.

IPv4 proxies are more common, as majority of the internet traffic still uses IPv4. IPv4 can work with both IPv4 and IPv6 websites, but they may not be able to access websites that are IPv6-only. IPv6 proxies, on the other hand, work only with IPv6 addresses. That's why they might be cheaper.

The major difference for the end-user is that not all websites support the IPv6 protocol yet, due to legacy hardware or network administrators ignorance.

Our tech guy says it's pretty unlikely that YT or GA differentiate between IPv4 and IPv6. To them, it's probably just seen as "some IP address", regardless of the protocol.

But not all websites open with IPv6, as some don't support this protocol. And if a site doesn't open, then GA won't count it as a visit.

I think IP pool can be identified by big G. So, G 00 g l e can see that IPV6 comes from a datacenter or houses, for example. By the use they (IPs) had before or the origin.
