I've never gone that far in terms of comparison, lol! But now, my M1 Pro has similar specifications to my last Windows machine (16GB RAM). Let me tell you, video rendering is like 10 times faster with no lag or errors. Multitasking is top-notch too; you can literally run 20 apps at the same time and more importantly I don't need to repair the operating system every now and then. I've noticed the same improvement with my iPhone since it has similar specifications to my previous Android device before I switched.

However, this is only based on my personal experience, and I might be biased.

If you're running 16 gigs of RAM on Windows you're far behind.

People have 16 gigs of RAM on their Android phones.

Guess M1 Pro is a good choice for people who travel and work a lot using computer (render while traveling). I can't see it as a home machine. It's like running Linux.

I'm sure a 16 gig RAM machine won't be able to run 100 browsers at the same time. But it's good for movie makers.

I have never fallen far behind. I choose the right device to complete my tasks, run my tools smoothly, and upgrade when necessary. This why I abandoned my windows machine and moved to M1, which is a monster even with the same RAM capacity. So, the issue lies with the Windows OS itself, and that was my initial point.

If they need it and use it to its fullest, then good for them. Personally, I see no benefit in having 16GB of RAM on a mobile device. I own an iPhone 14 Pro Max with 6GB of RAM, and I use it for work from time to time; it has never failed me. So far, it's been perfect.

Yes, I am a digital nomad, so I use it while traveling. Yet, it's better than my previous desktop Windows machine. I simply use monitors whenever I need them, whether at home or in hotels.

Never needed that. As I mentioned, the maximum number of tools I use simultaneously is 20, and I have never had an issue. (Most of my tools are for web developing, imagery and video editing)

I think Windows can never match a Mac computer with the same specifications. It's not even close. The only "advantage" of Windows is downloading cracked software and perhaps encountering a few viruses along the way.

I bought it when it first came out and dropped it on the ground. The results were disappointing

Price: $10k.

Impressive specs, but still this is only 16 core CPU. At that price I could get 20 computers totaling over 1 TB of RAM.

The second-generation Ultra Wideband chip on iPhone 15 is a definite upgrade , but I prefer android.
