IOTA - People don't recognize that the future is right here

Again you have no clue what you are talking about. You are one of those "newly" created investors i see that has invested some money in something but has no idea how the market works.

I know you want to make money as everyone else on this thread.. But please always do your research and due diligence before starting to trow words like ..

Bitcoin has 16,733,175 circulating supply.

IOTA has 2,779,530,283 circulating supply.

Bitcoin is used by millions of people - Iota needs some kind of global PR event to even reach that level.

So if you play by the market rules its more likely bitcoin to hit 30K even from next year, than IOTA hitting 8.30$ in the next couple of years !

So by you I need to research and what then? Bet on bitcoin, ethereum, or litecoin? Like all other 90% people? What I need to research? lol my father don't use Facebook and he knows bitcoin. To bet on bitcoin, you don`t need any research.

Another thing, please say why bitcoin will gonna hit 30k and IOTA will gonna sit in same position?

This is what confuses the public

2.7 x 1015 for IOTA.

2.1 x 1015 for the satoshi (21,000,000,000,000,000). < this is the total number of bitcoin not 21 million you forgot satoshis

An advantage of treating IOTA units as whole numbers is to avoid decimal rounding issues, which can lead to floating-point errors in improperly designed software.

The total supply of IOTA is 2,779,530,283,277,761 units. This value is optimized for ternary computation and can be expressed in SI units as 2.779 x 1015. The total supply is based on the 33 digit ternary number 111,111,111,111,111,111,111,111,111,111,111, which equals the decimal value 3³³. 3³³ is the total range of values for IOTA, both negative and positive. Because this is an odd number, the highest absolute value for IOTA is: (3³³-1)/2 = 2,779,530,283,277,761. This is the maximum positive va...

Because BTC is the pioneer , and for you in order to buy IOTA you still need to buy BTC first ! Unless something big happens for iota it wont go any much higher.

And from your logic, from 1300+ coins you choose IOTA to invest in only because its cheaper, and you post on this forum saying it will jump to 30-100$ only because you have invested in it, without any actual facts or research on its technology ?

Just LOL

Dont get me wrong, i want iota to grow as well, but wen you post at least post with facts,so other users can understand and not just spam because you wish for it to rise.

Ok ...And who uses ternary computation ?

Just last week there was a craze about IOTA, during which, many altcoins dropping in value with only IOTA and BTC moving up. For me right now IOTA is all hype, they're trying to decentralize everything, and they got some problem in the code itself. If you feel you can ride the bull and short when its right, then do it. But i wont do it as long term investment, i trust XRP more

Edit: Lol didn't realize this is a revived old thread

IOTA is just a hype in my opinion, They dont even have a working product to be honest. Try moving your coins from exchanges to a wallet and then you will see how many days it takes for the transaction to confirm. Their system is broken and the Founder of IOTA keep abusing people on twitter instead of actually working and fixing it.

Hello bud, could you please share his Twitter username?

This is a temporary problem and will be fixed very soon. It worked quite well before this current transaction problem. Don't forget that IOTA is still in beta and things like that may occur in this period of time. ;)

OK So I have bought about $500 of IOTA. Doing some research the technology is solid. But I am still wary of the "Partnership" claims. I cant find any solid evidence of this Microsoft partnership, unless someone can guide me in the right direction.
90% of my portfolio is in Bitcoin, but looking at IOTA, it looks like it could have the potential to be the next LTC or ETH. But only time will tell. Its just an educated gamble in my opinion.

Ok ...And who uses ternary computation ?

For Quantum resistance, DAG, infinite scaling, free transactions, and AI resistance. By using a ternary number system, the amount of devices and cycles can be reduced significantly. In contrast to two-state devices, multistate devices provide better radix economy with the option for further scaling.

The point is that lot of years all cryptocurrencies whose in basically same spot, after ETH and BTC price rise lot of people started to see big opportunity to invest in crypto. My one friend said: we missed bitcoin train and that it...

Okay let's do simple counting. I want to invest 1 000$, so let pretend I'm investing in bitcoin, so okay let's pretend it will gonna rise to 30k in 2018, so in one years I will gonna make 40% money. Now lets count if I will invest 1 000$ to IOTA. One IOTA 4.29$, so if it will gonna rise to 8.30$ in 2018 years I will gonna make same 50% of my money. So now answer to my, which coin have bigger chances? Bitcoin rise to 30k$, or IOTA to 8.30$ in next years??? But we don`t know IOTA can go to 20, or even more in next years.

no body knows for sure what price BTC or IOTA would be at the end of 2018, so yes you are just 'pretending' on price! BTC could be $50k at the end of 2018 and thus triple in price. IOTA could be $20 and x4 or it could go to $6 and rise only 50%. What i do know is that BTC is used today as a store of wealth (like gold) and is a working product. IOTA is many years away from being used. IOTA will not be used like BTC for 10 or 20 years, so BTC will only continue to rise based on its use today, while IOTA will rise only on speculation for 10 or 20 years into the future! I suspect the price will stall. But i could be wrong as no one knows for sure. What i do know is that IOTA has no real use today...so have to wait many years for them to develop it and get the real value for your investment. Most investors are not looking that far ahead.

Some of the smarter ones are though.

Well thats only if one can see in the future and 100% guarantee IOTA will replace BTC in 10 or 20 years. In the mean time a second generation (better tech) of crypto will coming out in 2018 / 2019, some of which will bring a better ROI in next 2 - 5 years! I would rather invest $5k today and earn $20k end of 2018. Than invest $5k today on an idea that may or may not earn more or even thesame in 10 years time!

You are assuming way too much there.

A gamble on IOTA, or any other crypto, is not always about that crypto replacing BTC, Gold, The Dollar or even Beanie Babies.

It is simply will things work out in 5 years if I put 5K into this and let it sit and see if 5K becomes something greater than the original wager/gamble/bet (this is not an investment).

Great find OP, you were hot on the money with this! I think IOTA still has a long way to grow!

Thanks tankybank! Yes, I think the same! There's a lot of space to grow.

If you want to help IOTA growing on a technical basis, create your own full-node: http://iota.partners/

Good copy paste.

Let me elaborate on that and why i think IOTA can be profitable :

JINN - a Ternary Processor. Jinn was announced that it will be developed early in 2014 by the creators of IOTA and it was said that it would be released by 2017/2018. Jinn is a new type of processor which can power a ternary computer, built with ones, zeros, and negative ones and replace the regular binary computer.

Its no chance that a Ternary Processor works really well with IOTA technology and its said it can be easily implemented in our every day appliances because they are very cost effective and can produce x10 computing power unlike the binary system used today.

It is believed that JINN is the missing link to mainstream this technology and that it should be released very soon to the public, correlating very nicely with the recent adoption of this new technology by the masses.

This would also explain the sudden rise of JINN market value and IOTA jumping to 4th place beside all those coins and the news that IOTA has collaboration with companies like Microsoft, and their big Q announcement.

If this technology becomes widely available than that would mean a real REVOLUTION in the digital and Crypto era, and ideas for applications like Power Ledger for example will be a just a blink of an eye closer to reality.

Than again this can all be smoke an mirrors since none of it its yet confirmed but If this happens than the market will BLOSSOM with IOTA at its helm.

To each its own.

But usually when retail investors come in, its a sign of an impending bubble. What scares me is that even my aunt and uncle and talking about crypto.

What i do know is that BTC is used today as a store of wealth (like gold)
I highly doubt that all the billions that are pumped into bitcoin right now are meant to store wealth. Gold is a (compared to bitcoin) price stable asset that has an intrinsic value due to its use in the jewelry area. Bitcoin currently fluctuates up to a few grand per day, not the best condition to store wealth imo.
IOTA is many years away from being used. IOTA will not be used like BTC for 10 or 20 years, so BTC will only continue to rise based on its use today, while IOTA will rise only on speculation for 10 or 20 years into the future!
Could you explain why you think that IOTA won't be used for 10 or 20 years to come? The IoT is expanding at a fast pace right now and IOTA already has a test marketplace to simulate the buying and selling of sensor data with community created projects and sensors. The project will be completely dead in a few years if it should really take that long for the first real usage cases.

LOL, are you not the one now making assumptions....even bit condescending from a MOD that i am over thinking and things are simple! Now you are the one assuming and even almost trying to say i believe any crypto is about replacing BTC or GOLD? Or your beanie babies (whatever that is!!).

Everyone has their own strategy, and mine is not just put 5k into something and let it sit and hope for the best in 5 years.I put $1 into a coin (i have researched) it goes to $2 and i take out my initial investment of $1 and leave the other $1 in the market. As it continues to rise i take out some profits and leave the rest in the market for the next 5 years. Now i am playing with the houses money and rinse and repeat with my initial capital until i have a decent portfolio of promising coins and nothing to lose. No gamble!

I was hardly condescending and whether I am a Mod or a one post wonder I was making a point based on your "100% guarantee IOTA will replace BTC in 10 or 20 years" statement. That statement is an absolute.

BTW, Beanie Babies were once joked about becoming a currency back in the 90's. They are little stuffed animals. I'm sure you can find some on ebay if they are not still offered in the retail world.

I'm not saying that IOTA will replace Bitcoin, I'm just saying that I believe that IOTA will gonna go to 10 usd 100%, because it not bit amount that they need to go. We got 4.30 from 1.50 in few weeks because people don't care about small money to gamble. No one cares to put 100-200 dollars in IOTA, as there is no point putting this money in bitcoin.

Now let's talk about Bitcoin, I'm watching it from 2013 years. From 2014 to 2016 it whose 300-200 usd price and it started to rise 2016 before christmas to 700.
cJORS6u

So please explain me or this is not bubble, when virtual thing stays in market for nearly 8 years and jumps from 100 to 900, then drops to 200 and again jumps to 18 000$??? This is prove that bitcoin is not stable and it is bouble, it is not growing normal rate that you will get more bitcoin every. The same thing now starts o with Litecon from 14 dollars to 150...

Another example why bitcoin will fail. I have good gaming laptop, not bad internet connection, now it is 7 day I'm trying to sync my wallet, so now I'm downloading 160Gb blockchain torrent. So after 10 years blockchain will gonna be even bigger, so after 10 year if you will not gonna have hi end pc and super fast internet you will not gonna be able to store bitcoins in your computer. With this thing all online wallets will gonna charge you for holding in their wallets your crypto.

And you forgot about inflation rate for other projects,12.5 new Bitcoin comes into circulation every 10 min.
