Internet Marketing and Morality

[...] Money created laziness, it created people who do nothing because they don't have to.

?

Money (the monetization rubric and the schema thereof) is certainly suited towards those of a higher mind and/or impetus, motivation and will. All of your arguments reduce, analogically, to the politically popular 'people-with-money-either-don't-deserve-what they-have, or-stole-their-way-to-the-top'. Which has been the basis of every single oppressive and humanity-devolving ideology and demagoguery that has ever shown itself on this planet.

Turn off your fucking TV. Do it not, and waste your true potential in the world as it actually is.

For the rabble or the desperate, yes. Otherwise, some people are simply smarter, better bred, or better taught than others and ought not be oppressed by that fact.

Oppression is oppression. Period.

If I can add to it and get into a bit techical.

Like Jazzc mentioned in one of the previous posts. The searchers are misinformed and misleaded. Think about BING users which is the default search engine of IE. These guys mostly are prey of the loan sharks. if you look at the ads, the keywords they target is

online loans
easy loans
bad credit loans

that's how these guys fell prey and have to pay a good price later

Don't know why I always imagine them as 65+ Years Old people who cough after every 5 keystrokes

Patents exist because of the government, if you haven't noticed and not of the monetary system :) Break a patent -> go to state jail.

No worries, my posts are written for the so-called "residual" and not for your answers ;)

Corporations control the government through money.

So it goes back down to money.

OP dont blame the player blame the game.As long as theres money and businessmen running the world there will never be morality or ethical beings. As Jacque Fresco says...merely complaining without offering a possible alternative is a waste of time.

Business knows no mercy, but we should have our piece of honesty.

We make our own decisions and we can't demand righteousness from others.

I can't sell drugs just because there are thousands of bastards capable of buying them.

But I can keep my hands clean, at least I'll never have to regret it.

Business is a dirty job, but not always, you can always find a honest way if you want to.

Lol not to start a flame war but with all due respect...the whole system is founded upon a plethora of lies and deciet...money is created out of thin air and interests charged on demand. Its staggering how no one stops to ponder upon this.Better yet if ur religious it says in the bible that thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven...so there shouldnt be money on earth simple realy.

When you go buy a car, do you believe the seller or do you do your due diligence? The seller's only job is to exchange his merchandise for money and the buyers only job is to find the best merchandise for his money.

Yes, the seller can and probably lies. I don't suppose anyone is falling off the clouds hearing that. Does that mean that if I tell you I have the cure for stupidity (one bottle $1000, no wait for you $100, no wait, one-time special $19), you will buy from me? And if you do, congrats, you got your money 's worth :)

So, are you morally clean if you actually sell someone that "cure", or is that car seller morally clean if he hides info or lies about the car? I think not..

I agree. I think everyone should stand by their own ethics or morals in both business and their personal lives. To me that means I'll do what I'm confortable with based on thinking about how it could affect others while not making a decision for those other people.

I try to treat others how I'd like to be treated in my personal life and that starts with a little empathy. I wouldn't want anyone making my decisions by force for me so I don't make them for anyone else. Meaning I'm generally not for regulating things too much because I see that as forcing people into abiding by my personal beliefs or standards of whatever you want to call it.

So I let that translate into how I do business too but as smart as I feel like I am I don't think I know everything so I still think it's important to let others make their own decisions. Even if those can sometimes be a mistake and I just hope they're smart enough to learn from those mistakes.

That's my personal honest way to do business.

These are just justifications. I was a smoker too, tried to quit three times, and third time I did it. And you know what? I hope all future
problems are like that for the rest of my life, 'cause when I look back, quitting was one of the easiest problems I encountered so far.

I'm a smoker myself, I think you'll find for the vast majority of us it's not so much choice as addiction.

Back on topic, I won't promote payday loans myself as I cannot abide the way they prey on the weak.

It 's more complex than that, but yes, they do. And it always goes back to money because money is a means to an end and humans always want to fulfill their desires. It 's like saying, it goes down to breathing. Well, yes, it does :)

Money isn't created from thin air. It's just a substitute for direct bartering so instead of "I'll give you one pig for 12 chickens" you can use money to simplify things. So the system is really based on allowing trade with other people so you can get what you need to survive without growing/raising all of your own food, learning how to and build you own house and car, etc. If you think about it we wouldn't be able to progress without trade being allowed. Without money there is no trade on the level that we have today.

Interest is just a fee for services like for any other service. I don't think it's evil just because some people want to get their money for free and are upset that they can't.

It also says in the bible to treat others how you'd like to be treated. Would you like me to decide what you are allowed to do based on my own personal sense of morality? I know I wouldn't want that so I don't do it to others either. I don't expect you to agree with my ethics nor do I think you should expect that of me either. That's fair isn't it?

Yes it is more complex then that, but it still comes back down to money.

Why are we still using oil? I'm sure that by now there could have been better sources of energy? Because of money.

When it comes down to breathing, you pay for air, whether you like it or not air is pretty much taxed. It's indirect but it's there.

You can't buy land and live on it for the rest of your life, the moment you stop paying tax for the purchased land, they'll take it away from you or jail you.

Banks lend money that they don't have.

Because it 's cost effective, like coal.

Not sure what you mean.

Thank the government for that :)

Banks lend money that they don't have.

Because the government controls the supply of money via the central bank and sovereign dept which the banks recycle for a premium and lend the government :)

Banks lend money that they don't have.

Actually banks borrow the money from you that they use for lending to others. That's why if you have a savings account or CD with them they pay you interest (also why you get charged for taking it out early). They just loan that same money out at a higher rate than whay they pay for it. That's how they can afford to give you things like "free" checking accounts. Banks are essentially investors but they invest in people, in the form of personal loans, more often than other businesses. They can't loan out money they don't really have though. For instance if you even buy a home they'll have to send payment to the home owner. Yes, it is money they've borrowed but if you take out a personal loan then that cash you get from it is still yours even if you have to pay it back.
