(Interesting Issue) Google Dance for 2 Months

Hello,

I am trying to rank a new website for a keyword with 22,00,000 searches per month and for a country.So what i did is i purchased a pack of 260+ Links from RedSqaureSeo and we started the campaign.As the links started pushing in,from NW to Dance and then the dance lasted a month (May 26 - June 26).Then it ranked for #2 and stayed there for a month and then suddenly it danced from August 26th till Date.I have been asking many SEO sellers and people and all they say is this is something really unusual.

Please give your opinion as to what this is and any suggestions would reallly help.

Since the links don't roll of the homepage, I'm gonna assume all the link juice is still being forwarded to your site, which means your site should still rank well.

Use Majestic SEO or Ahrefs to get a list of your backlinks. Look for the ones built by the SEO service you used (if you can find them because they may have blocked link crawlers from crawling their domains). If you find any, check if they are still indexed.

Their support can offer you great assistance in determining the cause of the dance so contact them.

I forgot to mention the possibility of your site being blasted with bad links. That's a possibility, so examine your link profile for any suspicious links.

I had always assumed negative SEO rarely worked, or does it work more often than I thought?

OP, do you use Webmaster Tools? If it is negative SEO, you may need to use the disavow tool.

What did the person that supplied the links say?
 
Google has been known to give new websites a honeymoon period (this was written out of the algorithm for some of the hot niches like payday etc but still stands for most run of the mill niches) .

During the honeymoon period you tend to get artificially high serp' s it normally lasts about a month and then you fight for position, it might be that this is what you have experienced.
 
To clarify,I am having a close look on the links and there are no bad links i can see.
