Instantly ranking for news website

Hello guys I have recently acquired an expired domain and have started posting news on the site. I have applied for google news as well but I came to know that nowadays google isnt allowing new publications to get indexed on google news. I have been looking for ways to get traffic on my news site. I dont want or dont have any useless expectations of getting 1000s of traffic right away. I just am looking for ways to grow my website.
I own multiple websites but I have been facing problems where I dont get traffic and eventually left the project. So if there is anything I need to know except for social media postings as I am preparing to do that already it's help me a lot. Thanks in advance guys.

The major thing you have to do is build backlinks correctly if you want to get placed in Google News choose a New related or general niche site and get an article from that then automatically that article will be placed on Google News

In the meantime you won't get instant results you have to be patient to attain higher positions

Whether you have multiple websites but gaining traffic needs lot of efforts so get Traffic from backlinks so you can get the expected results apart from Ads, social media shares

Backlinks are the key

Backlinks are one of the best source if you are looking for traffic to your news site. I accept this won't be a cheap and fast method of getting traffic but if it's starts working for your site then it will bring more traffic day by day.

Yeah that's right. For get traffic everyone need patience.

Where can one build free backlinks from?

if you want instant indexing and ranking you probably should be looking at expired domains with better stats and maybe an old google news domain pre 2019 update

You can start with quality backlinks.

If you have to work only in News Niche then buy google news old edition and work on them it will work fast. If you have to work in general niche then work hard create high quality post with decent number of backlink use guest post on authority sites that's it.

Focus on niche SEO, build quality backlinks, engage in relevant online communities, collaborate with influencers, and create shareable, valuable content to steadily grow your traffic.

I always start with the local filler news content. I use basic prompts in Perplexity to rewrite existing content from local sources. Create content across all the necessary local categories - research what other local nearby papers use for their primary navigation menu.

I like to build hybrid sites in order to take advantage of as many traffic sources as possible. I use a press release plugin to build out a PR category for geo-local releases and simply rewrite other releases initially for filler content. I build out simple directories as part of the site. The PR section and directory section will grab a lot of hyper local traffic for things like trending news, business names, street addresses, phone numbers. Plus a lot of people will have Google alerts set up for their personal or biz details and see your site.

You can use something like Botsol to scrape your directory listings for easy import. Now you have directory listings plus a resource to reach out to the listings and offer featured profile interviews/articles.

I dial in my authorship and make sure my branded socials are set up properly. I push out consistent press releases and then leverage truly unique informational content to jumpstart branded and social search traffic.

I do create GMBs for my local news sites. I create as many positive EEAT signals as I can. My author personas are Google Local Guides, they have Google Scholar profiles, Google Business Profile is active, and I submit to Google Publisher Center. For the GMBs I will use a separate aged local guide account to add missing place to map under the "news service" category, put out my NAP via directory listings, and publish a press release with the NAP. After a few weeks, I claim the location with a domain level email and get insta-verified no problems.

Like anything else, proper SEO, content that Google will reward, and backlinks are the key.
