Same happened to me. I thought I was doing something wrong, but I heard that they applied algorithm similar to fb
 
Can confirm. Brand Accounts feel like Ghost Town right now. Wish i didnt make that mistake and set up a brand account.
 
at some point we going to have to figure out how facebook works and think how the same technologies are applied to instagram and based on that which is nearly impossible to do since facebook is too strict , I have to deal with and never stop working.
