Your Instagram captions and alt texts would soon matter if you intend to get attention to your posts from Google.

How much do you think this would change things?

If Google really starts indexing IG images, it could shift things a bit ,mostly for niche discovery.
Captions and alt texts suddenly become actual SEO assets.
I don’t think it’ll explode overnight, but for anyone posting consistently with strong keyword intent, this might quietly become a legit source of longtail traffic.
That said, unless Google surfaces profile links better, it’ll mostly help with visibility, not clicks.
