Hi everyone! I'm here to ask you some healp about Instagram Giveaways.

I'm thinking of creating legit giveways loops (a page host the giveaway and people must follow the accouts that account is following) through some of my Instagram pages.

I have more or less clear how to calculate the expenses (the product, sponsors, etc) to set the fee for entering the giveaway. I also know more or less how to find people who might be interested in participating but, what I don't really know is how I'll calculate how many followers the accounts participating at it could get?
Most Giveawyas pages say something similar to "predicted followers gain 2k-4k", how could I calculate that?

Any other tips if you ever participate or create some giveaways are welcome!:)

Are you talking about a fee for participants to pay? It would no longer then be a giveaway... or are you talking about charging people to have a giveaway on your page?

Step 1: Choose the Prize for Your Instagram Giveaway.
Step 2: Decide the Entry Criteria for Your Instagram Giveaway.
Step 3: Decide How Long Your Instagram Giveaway Will Last.
Step 4: Create the Perfect Instagram Giveaway Post.
Step 5: Create ‘Reminder’ Posts to Share Throughout Your Instagram Giveaway.
Step 6: Tally the Results of Your Instagram Giveaway.
Step 7: Spread the News About the Winner of Your Instagram Giveaway.

Hi! Thanks for answering!:)

No, as in all giveaway loops, people won't have to pay to participate. One of my accounts will be the host of the giveaway and that account will follow the accounts that are inside the giveaway (Those who participate in the giveaway must follow those accounts to get the chance of winning the prize) . That accounts are the ones that will have to pay to be inside the giveaway, as they pay a feefor entreing and increse their followers. That's why I'm asking how could I calculeta the amount of followers that accounts could get.

Yes, that's are the basics for hosting a giveaway and I'd definitely keep them in mind:) Any tips for calculating the amount of followers that could get those who pay for being in the following list?

Hey! Did you figure this out? I’d also be interested in knowing this

Hi! Not yet. I know the basics about them (they're noted on a comment above) but I still don't know how could I calculate the predicted gain of followers.

About 1.5 year ago i started making legit giveaways in fortnite niche. At 80k followers about 6-7k people joined it since it was unsaturated. Now at 300k account id probably see 3-5k tops. Saturation is a big factor take it in mind when hosting giveaways

Hi, thanks for your answer!:)

I'm on travel niche, where seems that giveaways perform well. I have a quite big account (100k+) in that niche but I think I still don't have the necessary autorithy to contact hotels and airlines in order to start trips giveways. So I though about creating them with prizes like DSLR Cameras or iPhone/iPad.

As I could see in other accounts this type of giveaways tend to perform really well, and I know the basics about creating them, but I'm afraid of not being able to calculate correctly the predicted gain of followers for those who'd paid for being followed (it'll be a giveaway loop: the host account follow some accounts and people, in order to participarte, must follow those accounts, like the giveaway announce post and comment it). Any ideas or suggestions?

are willing really to give DSLR? xD
anyway in my case I use giveaways to pump my new accounts with my main (i hope you get my idea).
other than that, I advise you to start small 10$ product from Aliexpress (or depends on your testing budget) and launch the giveaway and wait for the result, if the results are good => repeat, if not optimize.

Thanks,

Yes, they'll definitely be legit giveaways.
You are right, that will be one of the points, pump new accounts. But giveaways are also a good way to earn money.

Example of a loop giveaway: 40 accounts on the following list of the account that hosts the giveaway (this are the accounts that people must follow to participate and, for being in the following list they've paid previously ±100$. That would be a total of 4000$. Prizes could be, for example, an iPhone (± 900$), DSLR Camera (± 350$), and some random small prizes (three prizes of 50$ for example). Overall of 1400$ on prizes + ± 400-500$ in expenses for big pages that would promote the giveaway in order to reach more people. 4000$ income minus ± 2000$ in expenses = 2000$ for the organizer of the giveaway.

That's why, if the giveaways perform well, they could be a great source of followers but also a great source of money. To perform well and get that numbers every side of the giveaway is important but, probably, the predicted gain for those who are in the following list is the most important one cause, if they don't get the predicted amount of followers they could ask for a refund but, if they get the predicted gain or more, they'll come back for other giveaways.

Great idea but 40 accounts in the following this is too much for me, better go around 5 accounts loop or 10 if necessary but 40 this is too much in my opinion.

In order to calculate this, you need to do it first because you are not going to get the same results ( It can be better or worse ), but first split test it yourself and find the best offer.

( You are going to charge for the giveaway ? )

Yes, maybe it's too much accounts to follow:D
But most giveaway accounts out there (at least on travel niche) have 30-40 accounts on their following list and that's why I used that amount as example.

Yes, as I could see in other giveaways accounts the result usually varies. Maybe is a good idea contacting the big accounts that would promote the giveaway (between 500k and 1.5m+ followers) and ask about their previous giveaways their promoted and their results?

Nope, I'll be free for the participants, they just must follow the accounts of the following list, like and comment the post. Those who would pay would be the accounts that want to be at the following list of the host account in order to get followed by the participants and increase their followers

This sounds perfect to me now. Would love to hear the results as well.

I will say running giveaways was A LOT harder than I thought. the hardest part is gaining customers but it's also a lot to coordinate with sponsors and making sure align properly. If you don't reach predicted results- people will get mad. Biggest piece of advice, do not take payment over PayPal. Paypal doesn't support raffle or giveaway type payments. On my last giveaway, Paypal flagged my account for either someone's description being "giveaway" or just all the money going into the account at one time. Then my account was frozen and I couldn't pay the sponsor and everyone wanted their money back. It was messy so just be careful
