I get DMs all the time from people I don't follow - it doesn't work with me (I just "decline") but I suppose maybe it works with some?

I usually just repost content from the main account. But when you have 9 or 10 pictures, posting new content is not necessary in my opinion, since they will check out the main account and see the new posts anyway. I even found a few child accounts that are still operating with 1 year old pictures

content isnt too important i use viral pictures and repost and give credit till im at 9-12 pics and then just stay at that with occasional post

This is one of my favorite methods. Been doing it for years. I am surprised people are struggling with it though. It seems like common sense. If you are having issues with this method, try this:
1. Make sure there is a call-to-action on the mother page. Just sending people to the mother page is not enough. There has to be something to see or do once they get there. Otherwise, there is no reason to click through/like/comment/follow the mother. What is the visitor going to get once they click over there? I have seen a good number of mother accounts that are dead or low energy once I click over to see it.
2. You will hate me for this one: Stop sending people DM's. I know everyone says it's effective, but it's not. Do you click a link or buy something that a person you do not know sent you in your DM's? I doubt it. I doubt you even opened the message. Sending 40 DM's per day is not logical. It is just a faster way to a phone verification, then a ban. I've had my mother/child account since 2014, on my regular iPhone, no bots, just FF/LL/CC/shoutouts/contests. Never had a ban or PV. A lot of people say if they can just get their mother/child accounts up to a certain number of followers it will work, but they never get to that number because the accounts get banned for doing too much bot activity that doesn't look real. Make your bot activity look natural. People do not send 40 DM's a day in real life, so it's not a good idea to do it if you are trying to make money on Instagram.
3. Try not to be so technical. Asking how many comments, DM's, likes, follows, to do each day isn't really how this method works. It is not a math equation or trigonometry where you have to figure out a complex problem in order to get a follower. Some of you are doing this:
When really it is just this:
57 + 1 = 58
You don't have to jump through so many hoops to get people on your page. You just have to use common sense. When you are on your personal Instagram talking with your friends and family, are you trying to "like" a certain amount of your uncle's photos hoping he will like back? Are you trying to comment on a certain amount of your mom's photos hoping she will comment back on one of yours? Do you send your aunt a DM asking her to follow back and click the link in your bio? Lol. Do you see how ridiculous this sounds? Treat the customer the same as your family and friends by interacting with them in a natural, non-creepy way.

I personally use shared ipv4 proxies $0,50 per proxy for child accounts (I don't care if they get banned) but usually i have no problems
