In the last months I saw many ppl asking about this method and I know the answers - That's why I decided to start a thread about it.

What is it
Now days, People don't want to risk their main Instagram accounts with Automation activity [Follow/unfollow]
That is where the child and mother method burned .

How it works
You create fan account for your main IG and use it to send DM to each new follower that you will get.
Mention your main account aggressively in every post of your 'fan' account will get you banned.

How you get it into work
Download http://jarvee.com
Click on your Instagram Account in 'Social Media' tabs > Tools > Contact > Send Message to new followers

Choose the option in red box. and you are all set. A new blank box will be opened - you will have to create a spintext if you want to scale this method. you DO NOT want 100 Accounts sending the same msg because you will be hit by a MASSIVE pva.

Example for spintext

"{Hi|Hello|Sup} do you want to buy XYZ?"
Each time that your msg will be fired to new follower he will get different word from the 3 that I choose.
Hi / Hello / Sup. I created it for you to understand the concept however: Spintext with just 3 words it's not enough in order to stay under the BAN radar.

TIP

  • You can use websites like getemoji.com to generate emojis and put them into your spintext. It will make your life easier when trying to create spintext from scratch and make it more UNIQUE. Emoji spintext example:
  • {|||}
  • You can use spinbot.com to spintext your texts for free.
  • Your spintext should include a call to action. for example {Hi|Hello|Sup} do you want to buy XYZ follow @bestgymusa for free XYZ.

Instead of DM you can use @mention too. Limit to a max of 9 to 10 @mention per new post, spread across multiple accounts.

For @mention, you need to scrape a database of followers. Example I am promoting Amazon affiliate program, I would target existing amazon customer or followers to make my conversion rate higher since I assume they will buy from Amazon. So the objective is to place your cookies and let sales take its place naturally.

The difference between @mention and DM lies in the rate of child account getting banned. For DM due to aggressive nature, chances of being reported for spam is very high. Whereas @mention has lesser of this issue. Look from the angle of a user, ask yourself when is the last time you actually report spam on IG when someone @mention you.

How effective is this method really? I've seen a lot more child accounts recently, but I never bother with them. Maybe it's because I already know how it works, but I'm never clicking on a profile link from a throwaway account or a DM or whatever. I've used this method before and I am using this method to a much smaller degree for a personal account (only 10-20 child accounts)...but I wonder how much more effective this is with the casual user being more aware of Instagram marketing activities...or maybe I am giving too much credit and the average user is actually oblivious.

I can only say that there are much better platforms to get traffic nowadays. Example those live stream sites are very good for promoting adult cam offers.

How come people have started doing this just now on Insta? People been doing this for years on twitter, just RT their main account from disposable small accounts :)
People are doing it for years but now IG is cracking down hard on boters so it became more Mainstream + If I don't wrong - someone is offering this services on the marketplace which cause many ppl talks over it. He is scaling with many accounts. really tough job to manage such huge amounts of accounts. He have no more room for new clients ; if more people will learn that method they can simply provide a solution for it.

Mention are great method too. I am totally agree with you. However: Don't send more than 15-25 DM X 1 Account and you will be fine.

This method is effective when you use 50+ Accounts. Usually I am using it to building targeted lists. offer some freebie with a landing page and you will be good to go.
You can use weebly + getresponse to build free landing page. Getresponse is offering 30 days free trial.
I found out that this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2C0dyNSiNr0&t=192s is great if you are out of budget and interesting in building your list without budget.

Good share
Thank you

You know, I tend to think like this as well. Then I'm humbled in my respect for the average user when I see them spend $130+ for a simple F/U/L service.
I'm always fascinated at what works still. But that's a bias from seeing it in our own shoes for too long. We invest more time & energy than the average user, so typically we notice more than they do.

They click on the app when their bored, looking for content, & new people to follow, etc.
We click the app to do research (when away from other tools to do such activities).

I can safely say I don't think they care/notice as much we do. If they do, its out their minds in an instant lol.

This is why methods tend to stick around lol. As long as we don't annoy them (enough) there's still life in the pipeline.

However, once folks do get annoyed (spam), it will start a countdown to its own grave.

I don’t understand the DM part ? You dm all new followers what , to follow main page ?

That is correct. You only DM people who follow you. Don't DM non-followers or you're going to get blocked/flagged for spam.

Make sure to spin your text when you do DM them. And keep it under 2 sentences like a tweet of 140 characters.

Thanks for reply. Also Can youu dm your actual link to main page to follow ? “ like make sure you follow this page with link “

Very interesting info, thanks a lot! I love these kind of useful and applicable tips!

I wouldn't recommend it. Because links will have a higher probability of being flagged as spam, especially when you have a bunch of child accounts sending out the same link even though sentence and words may be spun.

The approach of "....check out an @__mainaccount__" looks to be a bit more genuine.

That is just me though. With all of the work I have done, building up my accounts, I am looking at the long-term and sustainability. Because creating these accounts and maintaining them is a quote an investment already.

I always say. Don't be too greedy.

Ok that’s what I mean by link ,” thanks for the follow be sure to check out @Main page would be an acceptable message tactic then

Yes, if you want to be extra safe you can upload a post to your fan account and write in your BIO to follow instructions in the photo below

Does anyone get problems with the child accounts messaging the same person several times.
Is there a way to tell the bot to detect if one of the child accounts have been messaged not to message it again?
Or do you just need a tonne or sources and hope it doesnt happen?
Any experiences with this so far?

You can scrape specific followers and then split them between the accounts
