Instagram Blue Tick

I've heard of some guys getting fairly large accounts verified by setting up and growing a bunch of other copy accounts then writing to instagram about their problem with their brand getting copied all the time.

IG took all the fake copies down and verified their original account.

I know this worked so well they started doing it as a service for a hefty price but I am not sure if they still do it or not or wether this method still works..
 
ive been researching this for months on and off....i can tell you this, USA accounts are really hard to get verified and perhaps the process is much more in dept.... BUT, if you are in east asia or maybe some asian country itself.... it seems there are guys that verify accounts legit and have proof it is done... how do i know? just like some of you guys i message the people that get verified, and they point me to the guy that does it...and ive talked to the guy and he told me he currently couldnt do it for the usa... but there were a few other guys who told me they might be able to and that u would need some type of media from online (article, famous video, etc) and if i remember correctly some type of identification (there were a couple more things but i would need to dig back through old messages)....

and i read someone's comment i think in the earlier part of this thread that u can be an excon.... if that was the case i'd get verified instantly :)

btw, for those of you interested in people claiming to sell verified checks and have one themself is below..fair warning, i did my research and those accounts were in fact hacked athletes accounts..but i dont know why instagram does not ban them or give back the accounts to the legit owners:

Are you sure that this guy can verify accounts? If so please ping me his contact information please!
 
I'm in an engagement group where like half the accounts are verified. I messaged some of the people and one guy who was the leader of group said he can do for $1200 and he had an acc with like 10k followers verified. Another guy said that it's for high profile people only. Another person said he'd give me a "plug" for $150 and he sent me the username to an app he has it's called cash app i think. The guy seemed sketchy though so and i never even heard of the app. I assumed most people use stripe/paypal/btc. All in all the guy who said it was $1200 sounded legit but i don't think i would pay that much for a verified badge unless my account had over 1 million followers or i had an o.g name. Even then you don't even know if the person can 100% do it so you also take the rest of losing $1200. I think your best way is to just build up your profile to a high amount of followers and start to associate with people with high amounts of followers and then maybe eventually one day one of them can hook you up.
 
I have been looking into it as well and even reached out to a contact at IG (Instagram) and they said that it's not really possible unless you have a person that works in that department or works of a major media outlet or record label. I will keep researching and update you when I find something that works!

Yeah, it is not so easy to get. In fact I banned a guy this week for trying to sell that service and failing to deliver.

Thank you for that way too many people out here getting taken advantage of!!! If you find one that works please let me know and I will be sure to let you know as well. But to be honest from what I am seeing its really not possible currently!
 
From what I've learned you need multiple press articles, make a wikipedia page, pictures with celebs help, etc. Then good luck trying to bribe an Instagram Employee anywhere from 5-25k to verify you. There's a blackmarket for it, but you need the proper build up and hope to god you're dealing with the right person.

There are so many contradictory stories in this article.
One person says one things and someone says another.
I gather;
- you need some sort of decent press around you
- try find someone who knows someone that works at IG (and pray that both those people are legit)
- shell out a ton of cash
- hope that the IG contact works in the right department
- hope and pray?
 
Unfortunately there's no easy answer and it sucks. From the few people I know who have become verified it's very costly. One trend I did notice on my own is friends of celebrities get verified quickly. I've seen a lot of accounts under 10k followers become verified because they were associated with a celebrity in a way.

Does having pictures with them celebrities count? I’ve met a couple and could try pass it off, haha!

No.

There is no shortcut which is why so many people get ripped off trying to get the blue verification tick and why so many scammers are out there preying on people that are, for some reason, desperate to get it.

People lose their common sense when it comes to some things and this apparently is one of them.

I know people that can guarantee any Facebook/Instagram Verification, they are legit but a bit expensive.
 
A lot of high-priced PR firms basically will say they have contacts at IG who can get you the blue tick for $700+. Don't have personal experience with this myself though
 
Easiest way to get a profile verified the blackhat way is to pay for a bunch of articles on respected publications (forbes etc.) and then pay a couple grand to an employee at FB/IG
