Instagram Blocking and Unblocking Users Limits

Hello,

I purchased some followers months ago. Now my account is going really well, and as I feel they bring the level of engagement down I'd like to get rid of these ghost followers. Do you think this is a good idea? Will this make my account stronger?

The only safe way I found to do this is through the manual blocking and unblocking. I wondered if I should do this carefully and if there is any limit in the daily amount of this activity?

Thanks for you help

That's an interesting question as I never thought about that aspect. I'm curious to see if someone comes up with the answer to your question.

I asked something similar a few weeks ago and just got one smart ass comment from someone who didn't even read the question properly.

I found I got a spike of fake accounts following me due to some kind of influx within my niche. I had the same idea to block them. I ended up blocking about 400 in a day, and I didn't end up seeing any negative effects. Now I might go through and block 20-50 at a time every week or so, and it didn't seem to effect anything.

yes get rid of them, depends on how many you bought but can be very bad for your account, follower like ratio becomes very important on larger accounts. @tux had a nice thread about some time ago

That thread is still live :p

O.p - you can block 80 followers in an hour safely.

There's a limit for everything. Literally EVERYTHING. I would guess that blocking has similar limits compared to following

I come this thread to live since I have the same question and 2 years passed since the answers.

How many people can I block in these days per hour?

This depends on a each account, how aged is, how many followers you've got, how often do you block someone, how many actions per day you usually do etc...

On one account you may can block 100+ profiles in one hour. But the other account let you block only 30. So you gotta test it out.

IMO sweet spot for an account what has over 1k followers: 25 - 75 per hour (rather start slower, than rush into it).

Another year passed.
I want to block 20k users? What is the Safe limit now?
I was thinking of writing a JS code (chrome extension) which opens the usernames in the browser and clicks on the person and blocks them. Will I be able to do that in instagram web ~40 per hour? Also on web I read, they have something to detect against automation.

What should be the way to go?
