Since the new Instagram ban wave Instagram has introduced the 'Ai creator' option for all AI models to switch on. Has anyone switched it on? And what happened to your conversion rate has it dropped? Do people still think your model is real?

Thank you to anyone with insight

The AI creator label is a transparency move by Instagram but the conversion impact really depends on the audience. Some niches like tech and gaming actually see better engagement when the AI angle is leaned into rather than hidden. The accounts that struggle most are the ones trying to pass as fully human while the label is visible — the disconnect hurts trust more than the label itself does. Being upfront about AI content and focusing on value delivery tends to hold conversion rates better long term.

I'm curious about this too. I'm wondering whether it affects conversions or if most people don't really care. Would be interesting to hear from anyone who's tested it.

My advice would be to focus more on audience engagement than the label itself. People who follow AI models are usually interested in the content and consistency, so trust and branding matter more in the long run.

My guess is engagement stays fairly similar but conversions might take a slight hit if people become more skeptical after seeing the AI creator label. Haven't tested it myself yet but I'm curious about the results too. Interested to hear from anyone who has tried it and can share their experience.

It will affect your content and reach distribution because the ultimate goal will still be high-quality content that attracts viewers.

I tried something similar and AI label usually drops trust fast.
People still want real looking pages not tagged accounts

It's better not to switch. This'll defeat the whole purpose of why majority of those people follow those models etc, and why they are willing to open their wallets for them. That is because most of them are too busy with jobs etc to barely get any time, and too shy or hesitant or afraid of failure to approach several women in real life to get anything meaningful going, specially with the type of beautiful models that are present on IG. And since they've got the job, i.e. money, this feels for them to be an easiest option make some connection with someone pretty, by just spending some pocket change. And that's why they spend. But If you put the AI Model tag. That defeats the whole purpose of "Why" they might follow or spend money on that IG page. They don't care about your AI skills, like how pretty AI women image or video that you can generate.

That's my 2 cent on this. I might not be 100% right for every type of men out there, but I think this applies for the majority of the men out there on IG.

I find it very easy to distinguish between AI and real people.
A surprising amount of people don't, especially if they are older...

I think conversion would almost certainly drop. There is a much larger segment of people who would stop engaging with models they know for a fact are AI, compared to the people who either have no preference, or those that prefer AI.

From my experience, it didn’t hurt conversions much. The only difference I noticed is trust builds slower now, so content quality and consistency matter more than before.

Just checked and a certain AI influencer I was following as a benchmark was also removed from Instagram, account registered last summer.

Then again, just this week I've seen some highly believable looking accounts, that have their AI influencers (top quality rendering) - for wealth mentoring or how is this called. Selling a course or an e-Book using something like manychat I assume.

With no mention of AI in their profile, doing major numbers.
