I enjoyed reading Austin Kleon books "Steal Like an Artist", "Show Your Work!" and "Keep Going: 10 Ways to Stay Creative in Good Times and Bad"
if you want to learn stuff like how to draw characters, perspective, paint and etc I would recommend Mitch Leeuwe, I follow him on instagram (@mitchleeuwe) he has a bunch of videos on there, he does the e-books with video contents and etc, but if you don't feel like buying those, there is plenty free content just right on his feed. he also teaches how to draw characters or basically anything just from shape like triangle, square or etc, so basically you learn to be self-inspirational hehe
wish you the best!
