I See a banner on my amazon affilate home page that leads to the link

and with the exact in bold
"Please note that you need to obtain GST registration compulsorily, irrespective of whether you are an individual affiliate marketer (without a company) or have lower than INR 20 Lakhs annual turnover. "

so either get a GST number or get the hell out of amazon- isn't it what it says
and if some one want to start affilatehe has to get the GST first, that is just so desappointing for startup

you cn move from paypal with bitcoin, but you can't move from amazon, you have to get it done , if you want to moneytize your indian traffic, for indian traffic, nothing is batter then amazon.
and other company will follow the amazonfor the same.
for me - i have a company , and a GST number ( i sell on amazon india) i will ask my CA if i can use that detail there to drop my account or get serious with it .
this is no time to stay samll, either go big or leave it
 
This is total BS, I am getting tired of this shit, first paypal got fucked and now this? I wonder what's next, fuck you digital India initiative

Dear Sir

The Indian Govt has created inserted a clause that all exporters are required to register for GST even if they are earning Rs. 1

It is important to note here that no GST would be levied in case of export. It is only GST Registration which is required which will help the govt compute the amount of foreign exchange earned by Indian exporters which till now was not trackable.

I would advise that you register for GST on priority as it is mandatory in case of export or else you'll have to face strict consequences.

And when you are doing legitimate work, why shy away from GST Registration?

Because they want 18% from your earnings...
Suppose if someone doing shopify dropshipping then GST will ruin their business....
 
But you can always claim a refund of the GST paid.

Or better, just submit a Bond and no need to pay GST

I think that it is for Amazon India as I'm an Amazon.com affiliate and can't see any message in my dashboard.

The government has deferred implementation of a provision that required ecommerce players such as Amazon and Flipkart to deduct tax on payments made to their vendors from July 1, under the new Goods and Service Tax regime.

In addition, small businesses that sell through these ecommerce platforms don't have to register themselves immediately, the government said.

Ecommerce players had feared losing business as a large number of small suppliers were yet to register their ..
