I wanted to ask if this is normal ? It's a shop with over 20k products and new items are being added every ~2 weeks so the number of links indexed should increase instead of steady decline? What could be the cause?

It doesn't look like the number of pages indexed is declining (the green part). It just looks like there are fewer non-indexed pages over time. Has there been a change in the way the site creates product pages or what goes into the sitemap? Are you seeing a change in traffic?

It's my understanding the shopping platforms tend to create a lot of dynamic pages that either are noindex or google doesn't index them because the product page is indexed. If there has been a change in traffic or the site platform produces fewer dynamic pages that would explain why there are fewer overall pages. A good place to start is looking at the 8 reasons all those pages are not indexed and see which reason shows a decline in pages identified.

Thank you for a thorough reply.

I am seeing a drop in traffic and keyword ranking. Although I keep buying backlinks through some of the services provided in this forum.

I am using Yoast SEO and their sitemap. Any suggestions for other plugins if that's not good?

Check if your drop is tied to the recent Google Spam update (19-21 Oct) or any other recent update. There were a few starting from the end of August.

It seems the ranking drop started at the beginning of August.

Oh man, that looks like a penalty drop. I've seen such crashes from the Spam Update in October.

Be carefull with those new links, can't see them helping you. Maybe it's better to pause and do a complex SEO audit.

Something clearly happend in August and you haven't recovered.

Any good services in here you've used that you would suggest?

I haven't, sorry. That's more of a question of expertise. I mean you need someone to check your backlink profile, content, and technical SEO. And make up a report for you + what to fix + how to fix it. Someone more experienced than you are in SEO and in fixing Google penalties for sites like yours.

Thank you. I really appreciate your replies!

I don't think you are reading first chart right. I see it saying the non-indexed pages are dropping and indexed pages are going up. I personally would be afraid to keep building out links at this point, until you get some recovery.

You can tell by the first two reasons about your non-indexed pages - those two represent 90% of your non-indexed pages but not both are bad (404s are bad).

Sorry to see the August drop for you, that's a pretty drastic drop.
