inCTRL's Journey!
Hello, BHW members.
I go by several names on the internet but here on BHW, you can all call me inCTRL. As you might have noticed, I am new to this forum. I joined about a week ago. Either way, I'm going to be telling you guys my 3 years of Internet Marketing and my future goals.
Sometime around mid-October of 2009, I was introduced to SwagBucks throughout a video I found on YouTube after searching, "how to earn money". Without realizing it, this event would change my online experience for life.
Soon after joining, I was pulling out $5.00 to $10.00 Amazon GC a month. Even with this I was content and happy to be making something out of my free time. I spent about 7-8 months on SwagBucks before I actually got into GPT sites. Throughout those months on SwagBucks, I managed to earn a total of around $90. After leaving SwagBucks, I jumped on the GPT train. First stop, Gifts4Points. I don't exactly remember how long I spent on that site but at the end I managed to earn around $100 from offers and around 30 referrals under me. After that, I moved to another GPT site. Please note that throughout the time of my GPT site usage, I joined several other smaller GPT sites. The ones I'm mentioning right now, are the ones I had success on. After leaving Gifts4Points, I joined a newly launched GPT site back in the day: CashOrPoints. After completing some offers, I realized I was in 1st place for the December contest (2010). The top prize? $100! I worked really hard for a straight month completing over 15 offers a day up until the last days. I managed to make a solid $120 from completing offers in the month of December and got the first prize of $100 with over 450 offers completed. After cashing out, I continued using that site for around another 3-4 months up until it was sold to another administrator.
On my final days on CashOrPoints, I was referred to Points2Shop. I had heard of this site before, but I never joined up until 2011. After joining Points2Shop, I got into Referring users. I had gotten tired of completing offers. I spoke to the friend who had referred me to P2S and gave me a couple of tips/tricks in referring. This was pretty much the first time I learned about SEO and it's magical ways. I joined several article submission websites such as Triond, Redgage, etc. and began typing around 3 articles a week and re-posting them. After I would submit my article linking the reader to my P2S referral link, I would try to get those articles a couple of backlinks and just try to spiff it up in various ways. Some of them would be checking keyword density, headings, tags, etc. I worked this way for around 3 months. During that time I had typed up over 60 articles and earned around $170 with a total of 635 referrals. After realizing that referring really wasn't my thing, I decided to try something new but I wasn't entirely sure what it would be. After roaming around P2S's profiles, I found someone offering referral help. Looking at his stats gave me the motive to try referring out again. After having a short but promising conversation, he linked me to a Internet money making forum. I stuck around and learned so much about SEO and just in general search engines, internet, and more. Soon after joining IMMForums, I signed up on ShareCash. At first I had no idea what PPD sites were or how they worked but after a while, I managed to get a good hang of 'em.
After making several stops, I finally hit the jackpot. I've been part of several PPD sites for the past year and 2 months. I didn't commence uploading files up until 2 months after signing up so you can say I've been active on PPD sites for a year. For the first 3 months of my PPD site journey, I used YouTube and free blogs such as Blogger, Webs, etc. After many videos taken down and several flagged videos, I eventually opened up my own site. I started it 10 months ago. Whilst using YouTube and free blogs, I earned around $500 in those 3 months. Once I began posting content, backlinking my site, promoting it, etc. I was earning around $10-15 daily without much work. In the month of November and December, I managed to earn a total of $2,100. I earned around $600 in the month of November and in the month of December, I earned $1,499. I had hit gold with a niche and activity boomed for another month. Soon after Google updates came, my website hit rock bottom. I was hitting well over 900 visitors and after Google updates came, I was lucky to hit 60+ visitors a day. This put me down and almost made me quit IM. After realizing how far I had gone in my IM "career" and how much I've worked, I worked even harder in bringing in traffic to what it once was.
Now, 3 months working on rebuilding my site, I'm hitting over 400+ visitors easy. Actually, I'm at 780 visitors right now! What's there to say, Hard work pays off? I always say to myself, "Action is the key to all success." And guess what, it's true. If I would have quit after that Panda update, I wouldn't have earned an extra $600.
In the last two months, part of May, June, and July I've managed to earn over $350. Definitely not A LOT of money but it's definitely a huge improvement from making $0 a day. After my stats had dropped, I changed PPD sites to PaidShare.org. I'm making a decent amount of money on that PPD site, and I honestly can't wait for what the future has in store for me and those who have helped me get where I am.
As of now, I'm earning $5-10 daily. I think it's time to set some goals for the future!
Goals:
? Earn $20+ daily before October 1, 2012.
? Bring in over 800 - 1,000 visitors daily to my website before 2013.
? Continue to work hard and smart and hopefully hit $40+ daily.
I'm hoping to launch some sort of IM related website that'll help me maximize my earnings but I still have a long way there. Also, I'm trying to keep my goals realistic and reachable. I have everything I need for this journey, now it's all work and dedication.
Thanks to everyone who is willing to help me with their help or just following my journey.
I will try to update the thread everyday by telling you what I've worked on and how much I've earned for the day! If I don't manage to update every day, I apologize, I will try my best! Wish me luck, if you guys need help with anything, shoot me a message!
Thanks once again for your time! Follow my journey into success!
