Increasing productivity?

Replace caffeine with apples or fresh fruit.
In 4 to 5 days, after the body forgets about the drug, you will get an energy boost.

IF energy is what you're looking for, eat fresh fruit on an empty stomach, before any other food will be ingested. In a week, you will gain a lot of energy from this.

Learn to breathe properly and practice it 3 to 5 times a day. A golden rule is inhale for X seconds, hold for 4 x, exhale for 3x. There's not a vitamin in the world that will give you the boost proper breathing does.

Limiting protein intake is another way to get some energy boost. It's quite visible after 3-4 days of reducing protein. I'm not talking about going began or any of that crap, just eat less protein. Keep it UNDER 0.8 grams per KG of weight. Digesting protein actually robs you of energy.

IF you are working out, or doing HIIT as someone stated, it's important to do it the right way.
A lot of people train anaerobically, as in, without oxygen in the cells. This means training until you can barely breathe. That will rob you of so much energy. You need to train aerobically ( WITH oxygen ). A simple way of doing this is checking if you can talk during your workout without any problems.

If you drink milk, try to stop. There;s nothing wrong with milk per se, but it sticks to your small intestine and hinders hydration. Your body works harder to clean you up.

Sugars phuck you up too. This includes flour, especially if you go overboard with it.

Exercise your face while working. Toning face muscles will aid in better oxygenation to your brain. Doing X / O with your face is the perfect way. 5-6 sets of 15-20 reps will get the blood flowing just right.

It's what I've been doing over the last few years after reading books which address energy levels. It works. You won't be able to sleep more than 7 hours, because you will be full of energy.
Interesting. You’ve listed a ton of information that I wasn’t familiar with. I was under the impression that drinking more protein would actually help with the energy. Looks like I need to do my homework. Thanks for the tips, I definitely appreciate them. :)
Where can I buy this?
That's a shame

This is one of my fav motivational music lately
I think I’d start jamming to that beat and not get any work done haha.

Coc, dear?
Dear , sirz. Look at your picture, you mean to tell me u are not on coc? Dear , kind sir, the truth should be told.

Btw, I should mention that I take two pills over 12 hours (each pill with approx 220 mg of caffeine).
Can u recommend any specific brand or I just take any?

When you digest carbs, you get 100% of the calories. When you digest protein, 15% ( or more ) is lost because of digestion. That 15% means your body worked MORE compared to carbs to digest it.

One famous quite from Anthony Robins was "If you don't own a juicer, sell your car and buy a juicer, it will get you farther"
Try it for one week and discover the power of real hydration by using fruit, not water.

IF you do drink a ton of water all day long, try to drink it as you would drink coffee. Sip by sip, not the whole glass. It will improve digestion, and energy levels. But you should really stick to fruit. Drink water only when you're thirsty.

I did all this for 15 days before I even read what u have said. I can say that It works, specially this

You know your stuff

I used to work on my laptop sat in bed, quickly realised this was bad. Id get engrossed in whatever she was watching on Netflix or just ended up chilling way too much.

I went and bought a computer desk and put it on the 3rd floor landing. Just sitting up at a desk and having no distractions massively improved my focus.

If I'm doing content I need frequent breaks or you just start making mistakes or not putting the quality thought process into it resulting waffling on about crap.

I break it up by taking the dog for a walk, making a brew, etc etc

If I'm doing general stuff I can focus for longer periods.

I’ve seen multiple people say that getting a pet will help with stress relief and burn out issues.
Getting a dog for example, would mean that you have to take care of him(feed, walk, clean etc) and that takes time, at least an hour a day I suppose.
How do you guys, pet owners, manage to take care of a pet and still work 10-12h a day??

I dont know, but i have a baby and can also work my 8 hours. I guess i could maybe work longer if i needed to.

The thing is: A day still have 24 hours. You can work 5-6 hours, make a long break and work more.

Atleast if your job is fun, its kind of easy to do. But if you hate the work, i guess its different.

noise-canceling headphones
Does it work?
I have a service thread on BHW, Whenever I get any order of my service I write down order details like order receive date, order number, and order delivery date on diary with pen
I think it works well to increase productivity. however, these are directly related to productivity :D

Being the productivity-nut I am, I like to do the following:
  1. Cold showers in the morning
  2. Drink 1-2 litres of coffee and a few cups of tea daily
  3. Instead of having small breaks every X minutes, I rather take breaks whenever I switch tasks. Unless a task takes over 3 hours, I try to finish the task before taking a small break.
  4. Listen to good music. When I have to really focus I don't like to listen to vocal music. I personally like to listen to a lot of Jazz, Blues, Classical and Lo-fi.
  5. Project -, task management, calendar and pretty much all work-related notes kept in one app. I like to use Notion for that purpose.
  6. I write 'sudden bursts of ideas/tasks' to physical papers/sticky notes.
  7. Get fresh air from time to time. Everyone who attended primary school knows that we exhale quite a bit of carbon dioxide. Poorly ventilated areas, such as offices and populated small rooms can easily reach CO2 levels of 1000ppm or above.
  8. Hit the gym by evening
  9. Sleep well. We sleep 25-40% of our lives. The best investment you can ever make is to invest well in your sleeping. Get a good bed, pillow and blanket.

I also take caffeine pills as I hate drinking coffee.
if you are going to go there, may as well take a caffeine and L-theanine supplement. L-theanine is what you would get from drinking tea, and helps equilibrate the negative effects of caffeine to keep long-term focus. this is a classic pairing and you should be able to get it without problems. a few years ago i had my nootropics phase, which ended rather quickly as you can't get any fun shit on my country. but reading about it is fun.

on the topic of productivity, sometimes not leaving yourself a choice is the best. i am always shilling it here, but try focusme. you can pick the mobile version for free. it allows you to limit how much you use any app or website, block websites with certain words, etc. it doesn't work perfectly, but its a good enough deterrent.

Yeah, makes sense, I am not consistent with my time management so that’s probably why I see it that way.

I am a totally healthy person. But, Modafinil twice a week has been a blessing towards being extra (super) productive. (Please always consult a physician for personalized medical advice).
