I recently posted a thread in the WTB section for PBN links from .ES domains or Spanish speaking sites.

I got a lot of replies on the thread from people claiming that they have the links but I've talked to a lot of them and none of them have the links.

Most of these people are south east Asians. I am one myself so I'm not being racist but I know how irritating my people can be!

I have seen this happen not just on my thread but on pretty much every thread on these sections.

Mods really need to do something here to control this spam.

Yes, this is a problem when it comes to links from country tld`s, I posted one for .se domains and got a bunch of answers with only 2 or 3 having real .se domains, the rest was just trying to sell their regular links in non country domains. It takes a shitload of work to go thru lists and talk to idiots.

100% true
The “ I can help you” season
It needs a proper solution.

Look at this: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/wtb-guest-posts-for-bakeries-in-kiribati.1643018/

Who the hell has guest posts for bakeries in an island with 130k people in Oceania? Lmao, this post seems to be a troll and lots of ''sellers'' applied saying they have it, lmao
Nowadays, I feel so ashamed replying to any comment. It's almost like everyone claims to have what they don't actually have. It's getting difficult to take these replies seriously anymore. The amount of confusion and misrepresentation is just overwhelming!

We Always need to research a seller before buying!
There are lots of Guide

I agree, but New members doesn't know it. Or even finds these links before purchase.

I agree to the fact, that a lots of members just posting their contact information on WTB / Hire a Freelance Section.

As soon as thread posted in WTB Section,
Just notice the time ratio , it must be like
2 mins, 10 replies or more...

If possible, MOD Test Drive with a test account or secret member team to catch the GANG & apply Warnings to reduce ? Or adding some additional strict rules to WTB section rules might help reduces spam.

It would be great if BHW can enforce a rule that simple C&P replies are BANNED.
It will help the buyers and sellers if the seller writes a custom reply, thus proving they've fully read the thread and can deliver.

At the moment, many sellers are just outright copying the same message on every single thread. It serves nobody.

True
Any legit seller can spent 30 seconds to reply to a potential client
If they are lazy enough to just copy and paste the same answer in irrelevant posts, they could go away

I'll leave this open for ideas and such but Mods need those in question to be reported.

Unfortunately, we are not omniscient so we are not aware of every jot and tittle but do want to keep the forum clean for your education and enjoyment, but we need those posts to be reported please.

agreed
now with ai, there is no need to post the same content all over the place and you can create unique-looking text

Thoughts on this @BassTrackerBoats ? Off the top of my head I can't really think of any drawbacks to enforcing custom responses in thread.

I would like to submit screenshots of chats that I've had so far with some of these people, where can I do that please?

Uh-oh... I only always send same c&p outreach message out of bhw (I don't want to post publicly here because doxxing myself ugh) and when people dm me I'll part reply myself, part c&p replies (like prices, the scope of work, common questions - I made templates out of these because people ask same questions, you're not as unique as you think...). Honestly, if I were to send everything unique to everyone, especially when usually here they don't post budget requirements (kinda need that to make the list with backlinks for them) or their website address or absolutely any info about them... That DOES take more time and I don't know if I'm interested in the prospect, can't really prequalify because they don't post their website, company name lol.

Honestly, backlinks wtb posts are fucked up, I had to make a list for a guy 4 times because always something wrong and he ended up asking for HOMEPAGE links in very uncommon niche (as in, I don't see links in this niche on any platforms and linkbuilders in my network can barely send me any).

Lmao

As funny as that post is that could be a way mods catch these guys.

Mod makes a post saying wtb links in (insert fictional place)

All sellers who respond get a warning for spam or something.

Honeypot trap style. ;)

Technically speaking, if a buyer explains their requirement and a seller responds via a comment or DM, while they can't provide the service, they can be reported for rule 3.6 because they tried selling something the buyer didn't indicate they want.

I regret not reporting a seller trying to sell me a link from an Ugandan news site when I asked for chess related sites.

I for one, support removing the ability to sell services inside the WTB/HAF sections that sellers have not verified via BST or any other way.

This isn't an eBay and there are too many low-quality crap offers, it degrades the overall quality of the marketplace and what one could expect in this place.

Not to mention the rampant scams.

They want to sell, they need to verify.

My service don't fit 95% of the members here, and although it's rare, if I think I can help someone posting a HAF, I'd offer myself.
It makes absolutely no sense for businesses such as mine to have a BST, so even if selling does require some sort of verification, I don't think it should be only by having a BST.

Maybe it can go through the BST verification route without launching a sales thread?

That is one perk Executives should have, not going through with verifications when it comes to HAF/WTB.

Whatever the mods want to apply I'm for it as long as the spammers and scammers will be gone from those sections.
