In need of some help, plz.

Hello,
I am new here and I really dont know a lot about SEO and backlinking etc.

I have a blog about art (graphic design, illustration, concept art etc..) and I need some more traffic to it. I already tried things like digg but I think thats not really doing it.

It would be nice if someone could help me out a bit

Make sure your blog is set up for people to easily share it, check out some social sharing plugins, and give people a reason to come back(for example a 2 part article). Also build a twitter profile for your blog and when you have new posts make sure to tweet them too. I would also recommend Tweet Attacks to build some targeted profile lists to promote your blog as well.

#1 - Make sure that you have decent content on your site that targets the KWs that you want to rank for.

#2 - Use more than just one source for backlinks and traffic... there are many, many different ways to backlink your site and the majority of them are good to use to get your site ranked.

#3 - Write relevant articles about your site and post them on many of the Web 2.0 properties and article directories. If you are going to do that manually, here are some sites you can use, (http://www.mediafire.com/?8bn8w95za4i4v86 and http://www.mediafire.com/?bir277pki75p0o9) if you are not going to do it manually either buy some tools or use the services section here on BHW for providers... there are lots of good providers there.

That's a start for you and from there you can build.
