IN BUSINESS: Reputation management

Business is good. Sorry guys i've been away. I have been answering some pm's here and there for you guys but biz has been really busy. One of my rep management clients is a holy terror.

The GP client I wrote about ended up doing really well. I kinda freaked at three months because there wasn't any progress but I just stayed the course and on month 4 he came onto the first page overnight. He's been steady there ever since.

As I get more time i'll give you guys some other nuggets! But for now I'm working on building content and placing myself as an authority.

I know you guys have heard that a MILLION times from all the gurus. But it is seriously the truth.

Most importantly get out there and network!!!

People tend to do business with people they know. Make those relationships guys!!!

This thread is another hidden gem. Thank you for giving us such an insight into your exact business model.

This and 7878's method are true goldmines.

Well done and congrats on this. We're working on a local business leadgen campaign and although we won't be using mailers, there will definitely be a lot of relationship building and networking involved.

Can't wait to read future updates.

Reputation management is always a good idea in business. The photo also shows u that it helped you. Organisations depend on reputation to function. The most successful organisations manage relationships with stakeholders well; poor relationships with suppliers, shareholders, the media or regulators can be as limiting as poor relationships with customers. The nature of relationship shows their reputation outside.

Sometimes we only get 1 call out of 60 of these FedEx envelope that we send and the prospect won't even want to meet. They will only talk over the phone and will want to get RIGHT TO THE POINT of what your selling and how much it cost. You'll get no chance to pitch them, no time to tell them the benefits of your service or anything like that.

This might help... Next time you get a business owner who doesn't want to meet face to face tell him you are about to head into a meeting with a client and schedule a phone call at a later time that day or the next day. Tell them they will need to be at their computer so you can show them everything. When you get them on the phone for the next call get them to join you on a screen share via skype or joinme. When they jump on your screenshare, show them all their negative reviews in google and go through your pitch on how you can help them. This should put you back in control rather than being forced to "get right to the point".

Make sure when you list your prices they're from highest to lowest.

Love seeing that huge paycheck! Congrats and glad you earned it :)

Still working on getting one of that size!

This definitely is an eye opener.
We have just released our own website property, while offering such services as reputation management.

Looking forward to hearing more service wins like this and following suit!

and you sleep fine at night? Kidding. Yep..that's real bizz. Go for the big money!

any update on this?

where are my other golden nuggets? :P

I agree! This thread is gold. Any more gold to share? :)

My biggest question would be where I can find more information about and learn the specifics of reputation management? How did you do your research?

And also through text messaging for those people who don't have Internet on their phone or just like to use texting.

Any bad reviews go straight to the manager so he can deal with them directly and the good reviews are posted at popular review sites online through our staff using our own network of providers. We also threw in a mobile VIP club for this client that allows their customers to sign up to receive discount coupons and more through text messaging.
All reviews are logged automatically with a time code. We then upload these reviews ourself using a network of people. We add reviews from the same IP and we don't upload them all at one time. We "drip feed" the reviews so they are posted at intervals and looks natural to Google.

Each review has a times tamp with the reviewers name, date, time & IP address.

"We use proxy servers and have a geographically distributed team. You can also use www.hidemyass.com"

I'm really interested in this mobile technique. I've been doing some research but there seems to be several problems and I'm curious as to how you face them.
I would like to hear more info on your 'network of providers' and the system behind making these reviews look natural.
Yelp, specifically, is very strict in filtering reviews. It often takes aged, facebook connected, friend-having, active reviewing account to get reviews to stick. Do you create fake accounts to recreate and submit these real reviews? Does each one of these accounts have their own, dedicated proxy server located in the area of the restaurant? Do you use only one review per account?

Any details or further updates you can share would be very much appreciated! :)
Thanks,
Art

OP,

I'd like to chat with you... It looks like we are doing the exact same thing... I have 10 hot leads waiting to be called back but I can't do it myself because of my spoken english...
