Lately, I was thinking that it would be great to have improved edit permissions in certain specific subforums like Black Hat SEO, because it would permit, updating certain threads that updated information, instead of having to create new ones. For example methods or compilations would highly benefit from this.
For example, if there is a little tweak from year to year in a PBN tips information topic, this could be added like an update in the first post, instead of just posting in the page 3 if the post has generated enough buzz.
Same if one has the time to keep updated a little of comprehensive posts relating to certain topic. In fact this is one of the things that took me a long while to find this forum useful: not being able to find updated threads because a) most compilation where outdated b) newer quality threads were difficult to catch most of the time unless one had the time to keep monitoring certain subforum in which good threads maybe only popped once every 2 weeks (at best).
Anyway I'm sure this topic (about edits), has been discussed a couple of times, but just wanted to drop (maybe) a new perspective and an alternative (just some more technical subforums instead of the whole forum)
