IMers who use Linux?

Linux is great, but not reliable if you use software which is not available for linux and you don't want more struggle beside of your businesses. I'm using OS X and i have some troubles sometimes. Windows is the way here.

true that most of IM tools are made to run on Windows, you could try to use "wine" to run .exe from Linux or OSX, but it's probably not worth the pain.
Most of these tools are require to access internet, better rent a Windows VPS, the tools would probably run even faster as most VPS are connected on 100mbps from datacenters... and you can let them run 24/7

I use Linux Mint because Firefox is very stable .. much much more stable on Win 7 because I open xx number of tabs and I like Linux because some other stuff seems more cool, it's easier to edit html files etc..

I've considered using it in the past, but I never installed it on the second computer I was building for it.
