Images with Lightbox effect are good for SEO ?

I have wordpress sites and use the usual images. Lately I want to add lightbox effect to my images, I have some...

Found this wordpress.org/plugins/responsive-lightbox/ and I like it. On images adds a rel= "lightbox-0"

My question is :

- will lightbox affect indexing in google images ?
- will rank in google images be affected, in good or worse ?

- to use or not to use lightboxes ?

- any other better solution than a lightbox ? for my images to be prettier, but to rank high... ?

i don't think there is any impact if you use it or not.. it is simply a javascript library..

Take a page out of the Google book if you don't want to believe anyone else, they use javascript all the time on their homepage when they implement a cool new logo or something like that.
