Hello there, I am working for an event blogging for valentine's day I have more than 20 posts (images150) I want to rank those photos. any guide I will be pleased with your help...

If you want to rank a particular photo I would chose to go very long tail that drive a low amount of visits for a very likely photo intent
To know if certain keyword is meant for a image intent just see if the Images tab is to the left of the tab's list
Don't go for huge keywords like this, because you are going to fail miserably. Try to stay the lowest profile possible very long tail that drives a low amount of visits (10-20 at most).
Then, if you use wordpress follow the guidelines that @TheVigilante mentioned. The most important parts in this order: alt text, title for the anchor and the name of the file (don't use whitespaces but hyphens)
That is all you need to know about image SEO. Also links to the image are equivalent as if you were ranking any other page, but given the fact that we are only one week away from St Valentines day, you are very late...

Self-help books have done too much damage to humanity
Things are not always about failure or regret but for being realistic. You cannot do SEO 1 week away from the day where you expect results unless you try with a very reputed site and very long tail words
If at least you were talking about Google News positioning for certain keywords that were newsworthy (intent-wise) I would assent to your idea.
