Hello guys. I've got a problem today. I'm doing an Xfactor style adsense method and it's just not working out for me! I would greatly appreciate any help that any xfactor users, or anyone for that matter, can give me on this.

I started the xfactor course about 2 weeks ago. Since then, I've written 3 ezines and 2 goarticles articles promoting my site. I understand this isn't much but I'm still working. I have 2 posts relating to my keyword, an about page and a contact us page.

Everything was going well ( I think) yesterday. I was ranked 100 for my keyword (BTW is this good for the ammount of content and backlinks I have?) and then today I checked and I'm 150th. then I check again a few hours later, 160th. I know google does a kind of "dance" but I'm just wondering if this much of a dramatic change is really normal? I am also wondering for all of you guys who have xfactor applied to thier sites, how am I doing? Any tips you'd like to give me, suggestions? Thanks for any help you guys can give me!

g is going nuts these past few days more so than normal I myself am waiting for the dust to settle before analyzing it

Yea man. You should read some of the other threads floating around on the front page in this section... there are some good discussions going on about the changes to Gxxgle.

Thank you! I'll be sure to check those out as well.

Just keep building backlinks - forum profiles, bookmarks, articles on web 2.0 sites, anywhere you can put a link. You are seeing the normal G dance that has happened to all my sites. It takes about a month for my sites to get a stable ranking and then start slowly to creep up the SERPs. If I bought backlinking services it might rank higher and faster, but I am still doing most of my backlinks semi automated with Imacros for Firefox.

Do a digger deep in the discussions surrounding the maytag change. Xfactor type sites will definitely be impacted long term

Keep building links... but also look at who is in #1 to #3 now and see the type of site they have. Is you're similar? If not, this could be impacting you also.

You really need to build a bevy of various links coming from all places as well as write more articles promoting your site and promoting articles that are linking to your site.

Remember this is not a sprint... you have to take your time and continue to advertise your site via links from other sites over the long haul.

Also, it is important that you do this in a manner that is chaotic and random.

You'll get there... just keep walking the path.

Yeh, it's really a matter of linking structure, both volume and PR. I'd keep working at it if I were you. Write tons of articles. They don't have to be award winning. Focus on volume and keep them short!

Are you doing sites on products? Are the top sites in your niche shopping sites? If so try adding some shopping related keywords in your page and see if it makes a difference. And keep building links.

Also, don't do just one website. I built 4 websites over 1 month before thinking about monetizing them. It was a great idea because on my second month only site 4 made any money ( like $5-10). Than month 2-3 site 1 went from no money to making $1/day. Basically, not only do you need time to pass you should also create more websites and move on ( but still trow a few back links every few days to your first one).

What's funny is my first website I put so much effort on it that when it started rnaking it stole rank #2 AND 3 and started giving me 100 people a day on a keyword that should only give me 50!. I also beat other exact match domains that include vendors for my item ( but not a copywrited product name)!

Honestly.. xfactor can work but it takes a lot of work. If you don't have a day job you should be doing 2 new websites a day or like at least 10-15 ezine articles ( or like 1 website with 5 pages of content and 5-10 ezine articles... you get my point).

dont stop until you see some results then quantify your work. I know its exciting when you first start something but expecting to see instant results is like expecting every girl you date to be a super model..

I don't see a problem with dating nothing but super models. :)

Absolutely nothing to be honest. I don't know how it happened! Maybe some more of my articles got indexed who knows!

Ha.. you are likely right. So you got all worked up over nothing. Next time just relax and keep building links. :)
