Now that my first business is slowly taking off I've been struggling these last couple days to manage the new workload and my personal life. I've been taking some time to learn more about time management and really setting up some automated processes to get more work done in less time.

What I'm wondering is, do any of you have some great resources or tips and advice for time management and effective processes for handling the day to day tasks? Thanks in advanced!

Have you heard of the Pomodoro method ?

It's handy IF you can stick to the method.
i havent heard anyone call it that specifically, but ive seen if described in a new way through some youtube videos. making sure to chunk tasks into things you can do between 2 seconds - 20 minutes

Easy to have running in the background.

I ( when I remember ) do 25 then stretch my legs for 5.

Well I would suggest you to outsource more tasks and free yourself for planning next moves -- That's what CEO's do :)

The way I do it is with a diary and a couple of project planning tools. Every daily task that I have to do goes in my online diary, then I have a projects in progress folder and any on-going project goes in there along with information, tasks that I have to complete for the project and so on.

Basically everything I can get written down and organised I do so, then I can always get away from it all if I need a break - because everything is well documented I can stop right in the middle of a project or a task and pick it up again later.

very good technique, in the 5mins do sum press ups or some exercise, get the blood flowing, n come back stronger.

there is a very good app for IOS maybe android, havent checked, called 'focus booster'

aim to do atleast 3 sessions a day, 1.5hrs to finish 4 x 25min stretches and 5min breaks.

apparantly 8hrs in an office usually equates to around 2hrs worth of work
