Maybe I am ignorant this is the first time I ever heard of this and I always assumed that the person who wrote numbers like that was not to be taken seriously, or, used numbers as a metaphor. I am surprised I never heard anyone mention this before. Back in the 80's there was a popular magazine ad that stood the test of time for damn near 2 decades until someone claimed they were the originator of the system in their sales letter and sales finally waned off. Anywho, it was rumored that the person was actually a russian guy using a girl in his ad and that sales letter had decimals in it when convenient for the pitch.

That's a valid point, but I see no problem in saying what I've got from the investor. You are not asked to believe it, but you don't need to: I'm not "using it" to get anything. Not recognition, nor money.
I have been pretty successful in the last couple of years. I don't do IM, I'm a business man how own 2 companies.

On another note: I have a system I would license you but my lawyer advise me not to (due to legalities that makes it ill advised right now), so, I will put it like this. If you are willing to pay upfront fee for a business plan and possible back end on a percentage for ongoing consulting that I bring to the table PM me ASAP.

I pass. Buying a business model, blindfolded, it's something I'll never do. Except if you own a business that has a revenue over 1 million/year (you will have to provide verifiable proof).
