I'm Gonna KILL it!

I want to know where you can get a pair of eyeglasses for 200.00.

My last pair was close to 600.00 and I need to get new ones soon.

Oh yeah, the puppy... I have no advice there.

$600?! My last pair of glasses was like $100 lol. Although they were just some cheap ones because I only wear the around the house.

I always see commercials for Lenscrafters I believe and they do deals all the time for cheap glasses. You shouldn't ever have to pay $600 unless you're getting some nice designer glasses.

I have a rottweiler and a boxer. Both very dominate dogs. One of the things that worked very well was I would put the dog on their back, hold their front paws, and get on top of it. I would then put my mouth on its neck to show that I was the alpha in the household. For me, it helped out alot and put those dogs in their place. I don't beat them but because I showed them early on that I am the leader of the 'pack' they listen exceptionally well.

Just my 2 cents.

You need to train it.

My roommate had to baby sit a dog for a week. This dog had the most horrible manners. It would jump up on you, try to snatch your food right in front of you, got into the garbage, etc etc.

It took me a week, just a week to make that dog into a semi-decent dog.

You need to be stern and consistent when yelling at the dog. And I mean YELL. Not, "Oh, bad dog" At the same time, you have to consistentley show your dog attention. Do not give it human food, and limit the number of "treats" you give. Take it for walks, teach it tricks, take him on car rides with you, etc etc.

I would also suggest crate training. It teaches overall better obedience.

If you don't think you can do what I noted above, then I would suggest giving the dog to a shelter to find an owner that will.

Lenscrafters is actually where I shop... the pair I am wearing now are a Polo frame (about 225.00 I think) with a progressive prescription and transitions lenses.

Oh yeah, the puppy... take it easy on the little guy.

I think you should buy a dog obedience e-book, would you like to send you a link?:)

Dude, be a bigger man, its a dog. My dog always ate my homework and I never get angry or anything

I also used that excuse a lot :D

To the op, i feel for you. But make sure the puppy goes to a good home

Our dog is great, well trained and great with my daughter, but last weekend the neighbours went away and asked us to look after their puppy...

Same thing, my daughter leaves things lying all over the house and the puppy had a field day, went out shopping for a few hours, came back things were chewed up on the living room floor, our bed, the back yard, you name it.

Can't say I was dissapointed when the neighbours came to pick her up again.

Ok first apologies to all the puppy lovers who freaked thinking i was gonna stomp the puppy.

One of the lenses turned up after being blind for a day. Thankfully it is for my left eye which is the better eye and allows me to see20/20 out of that eye. It's funny wearing glasses with only one lens held together with a bread twist.

I went and got an exam and they put that shit in my eyes that makes a match as bright as a supernova so I spent most of the day in bed with a headache.

I will probably try to buy my glasses on line from either zenni or eye buy direct. It's worth a try for the prices they offer. The Doc left off an important measurement so I have to wait until Monday morning to go back down there and get the numbers then ill order them.

As far as the puppy it is a sweet dachshund hound. It is loving and all but I have never been a dog person. Always had cats. My wife brought this thing home and she is gone so much I wind up taking care of it. It pisses me off to no end. We have had it like 3 months and it never made a play for my glasses before so I didn;t think it was possible.

This is the little fucker right here

In my house we refer to our dogs (3 Japanese Chins) as The Brothers.

That's a cute brother you have there.

This is precisely the reason I hate dogs and will never own another one. Even fish are too high maintenance in my opinion.

I was into fish when I was a kid.. they are more high maintenance than people think. The pumps and lights suck a ton of energy. If you have cats they will never stop trying to kill the fish. Ever.

Setting up a tank and keeping the ph balanced is a learning process that never stops.

No matter what you do you wind up with floaters. I had a neighbor who had a Koi pond set up guy spent all his free time growing huge goldfish. People and their hobbies.. insane they could be spending all their time making links for me.

I had dogs and cats all my life (not my choice) up until about 2 or 3 years ago. They are cool as long as they are someone elses. I will never have another pet, thank god my girl agrees on that one. It's like having another child that gets into $hit all the time. Good luck to you.

Firstly you gotta chill out man. Dog's are born knowing how to behave, you need to teach them.

Secondly, you should put the glasses inside a drawer or something so the dog can't get to it until you teach it not to do stuff like that.

Best of luck either way.

Whew... I thought you were going to say something about an elephant and get murder threats.

Yeah puppies are like kids. They are always more enjoyable when they are someone else's.

If you're having financial issues, then it may be better to sell the dog in all seriousness. I mean, that's something you'll have to talk to your wife about... but Pets deserve lots of love and attention, and with that comes an expensive responsibility. You obviously don't care about it, so perhaps the best thing is to sell it. If it's still a puppy, then you may be able to raise some cash to cover yourself etc.

It's not an easy decision. I know exactly how you feel about the glasses... all I have on that one is to make sure you eat your carrots! :p

Nope.. Molly. My friend has one named Pippi that looks exactly the same also. A fellow Bostonian I see? Nice to know there are a few on here.
