i'm from indonesia a have sms modem and have gateway sms voice. i have a lot sim card indonesia but the price of the card is still too high at the moment. i sell otp via smshub, but currently smshub income has decreased drastically from when I first started working
Maybe there are other jobs that are new and still profitable for me in Indonesia.

You could look into local lead gen, bulk messaging for businesses, or even affiliate offers targeting Indonesian traffic since you already have the SMS setup. Might be worth testing niche services outside smshub too.
 
We are in the same situation but my operation is in Philippines. I have a total of 3500+ ports modem plus a supply of up to 30,000 brand new cards everyweek. It started on December last year that the sim business market has started down. And since 2 months ago, i have fully stop my operation since it cannot pay the office expenses (electricity,worker,rent and maintenance). I think the reason is a lot of Chinese people have started doing the business themselves. Since we know that they are the top 1 buyers of otp's. Here in the Philippines alone, one Chinese guy is buying 100k new cards every month.
 
You could try local freelance work online or offer SMS/voice services directly to small businesses in Indonesia for better profit.

Anychance online casino or gambling sites getting viral there? work for them dude, if i can do sims can't you make bank account?(yeah its risky and lots of verifications need but if are good in communications)

Yes, the current market price has decreased since several years ago, so we need to look for new opportunities with existing equipment.

Currently, the business is running SMS sending. However, there is a problem with the quality of CR decreasing. I have not been able to find the problem. Maybe someone has experience with low CR issues, especially in Indonesia.

currently there is no buyer who wants low CR results i still need to solve this problem, because other people have normal CR, it makes it difficult for me to find buyers again

my CR 2-3% it is normal or bad ?

The SMS business is indeed highly competitive these days. I used to do it too, mainly in the US and Canada. But market conditions forced me to leave the industry.

Is the SMS business currently only getting low prices and then you leave because of the difficult sim card?

In short, we used to directly purchase full-featured SIM cards from the US or Canada. However, many apps now don't offer SMS services for US or Canadian numbers and also directly restrict SMS verification for virtual numbers. This is inconvenient. After all, we're most familiar with API SMS verification.
 
What you’re experiencing with SMSHub isn’t unique — OTP-related income has become much more competitive and margin-compressed over the last year.
The core issue isn’t your setup, it’s that SIM-based models are getting squeezed by pricing, regulation, and saturation.
From what I’ve seen, people in your position do better when they stop relying on a single platform and instead look at how their infrastructure can be reused for adjacent services.
Anything that depends entirely on one marketplace will always be fragile long term.
