I think AI replies are fine if they're used to format / clean up your thoughts. I do that for work and emails too just because I'm lazy efficient like that.

100% agreed that it shouldn't be used for low effort replies, but then if we (the mods not me) made rules regarding AI replies it'd be kinda hard to police, no? Cause everyone would have different opinions on what a 'truly' AI reply is.

Also to look at it from a different perspective, sometimes when you get a suspiciously AI reply it's not always the person's fault, might just be cause what was written translates horribly, when translated into their native language, considering nuanced things like culture, what 'normal' context to them is and so on.
