I'm Addicted To Buying Domains

I think you should slow down a little and focus on the ones you have purchased before acquiring more. Once your current domains are developed and built and are making you money, invest in other domains and replicate what you did with the first 20. Good luck and I wish you success! :)

Cheers mate, I really appreciate it!

I've been working as a full time web developer for 4 years now and before that I worked as a writer, so as soon as I found out about SEO it seemed like god made me to do this!

I haven't made a penny from it yet, but I can build sexy websites and write kick ass content, so hopefully I'll be ok!!! :)

20 down, you can make it!

I know how you feel, sometimes I buy so much cocaine, I cannot even sniff it all in a night. I think I need to JV with someone to help me sniff it all.

You're just wasting money. However I will admit that I too have made the same mistake intentionally. I actually got a domain to ask a question to my friend, it was worth it.

I used to have that problem. Stick with what you have. A good way to not waste money on domains is the build the website before you buy the name. I would think of an idea, buy a domain name, install wordpress and a theme, and call it a day. Build the site FIRST to ensure that you will continue with the website. This fixed my problem.

Last year I had over 120 domains in my GoDaddy account.
Presently, I have 25 which are all doing something.

20 a month is not a problem, onetime i bought 20 in a day and every day a few more

Oh man, I remember those times. I had close to 100 domains, just sitting there with project 'for the future'. Letting go of most of them was part of letting go of the illusion. Concentration is definitely the key here - unless you have an understanding of how to automate the creation of the niche sites, it would be best to follow what others have said and pick a handful or better yet - a single one - to test your hypothesis. A helpful excersize would be to create a speradsheet with a list of all the tasks and individual actions that are required to get a domain to make a dollar. Then add a column with the number of minutes it takes to complete this task. Unless you've done it before, multiply the time you think it would take by 3. Then multiply the total time for one domain by the number of domains. If you're looking at more than 3 months of work, you must either know something we don't, or you're insane. I was in the second category, so I knocked that sh*t off.

I put up a little placeholder on my reseller account for my domain names. This way, it is actually online, if I sit on a domain name for a year, it just gets a little age.

I am not adicted to buying domains, but I seem to be somewhat optimistic as to how much I can get done in one day, so some of them wait.

Don't waste your money unless you are going to make money with your domains.

Ummm....as everyone is saying, you need to focus on one to get the results you want. You could use virtual assistants to work on two or three others
if its not gonna make ya mental. Security is a must.

So guys I just wanted to know if anyone else has the same problem as me...

I read in Kinlee's $10,000 a month journey that the best way to find Niche's is just talk to people and listen to their problems, hobbies and interests, then going and seeing if there are Niche's that take care of those topics.

Since I've started doing that, I've bought so many damn domains, I think I'm addicted.

I've bought 20 so far this month...

Only problem is that I don't get time to build all the sites! I think I'm an addict!

Should I still keep looking for opportunities and buying the domains or should I stop and focus on the ones i've already got?

Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm coming up with a WSO on how to quit domain buying as an addict and move into profitability..

I have actually been there. My advice would be to stop buying any more domains and concentrate on developing websites on the current ones.

Ahh I know the feeling. Because my favourite thing to do is keyword research! And when I find a good keyword, I'm like.. DOMAIN TIME! Then my motivation wavers slightly. Either way, get your mind in gear and forget domains, and start to BANK!

Stop buying domains for now and work to get these 20 up and running, and then buy 20 more. Rinse, repeat. You'll have a network of sites that can earn.

Adam, PM me, i'd like to talk to you some more about this...

This is exactly what happens to me mate.

I keep finding domains with a lot of potential, but I struggle to get the motivation to do anything with them.

I've just started using Natasha Nixon for content though, so hopefully I will start to get more done!

Domains is a gateway drug to SEO which is a gateway drug to money.

Money is very addictive. Smoke some with hard work and you feel wonderful. So domain addiction is great IMO.

I think this forum is addicted, wish I used it more when I signed up years ago.
