I'm a f*&^ing coward

If you need help calling. I don't mind calling people. In fact, I like it. Those seconds of awkwardness turn into bliss when I break the ice. I thrive on the challenge. I'll need the script and the numbers. Whatever we are selling. Consider it BOUGHT!

you know how many times i got rejected? after a while you don't care, but the trick is not to not care all the way because then you lose feelings, get desensitized and turn into a huge d-bag, who is insensitive and only cares about himself and will stop at nothing for his own personal gain, stepping on people along the way.

Then you end up snorting coke in a corner of your office before making calls, still better then getting rejected and laying in the corner curled up in a ball crying like a baby.

No one likes rejection. At the same time no one likes a coward. There are systems which use direct mail pieces and email announcements to keep calls from being so cold. Hire a VA to do the calls.

that's even worse advice, because the va is not going to respect him because he is going to tell a va how to close? when he fears rejection?

Not sure if you're looking for sympathy, or what?

Being an entrepreneur (whether online or offline) is about spending a few years of your life doing what others won't do, so that you can spend the rest of your life doing what they can't do.

So you're either in or out.

I am not sure what you are expecting us to do here? You can't do it, then decide you can't and get out. If you are looking
for motivation you won't find enough. Success comes from within a person. How hungry are you OP? Can you afford not
to take action in business? If not then decide marketing is easier than living broke. :)

OK... until now the little me inside you has taken the driver's seat. Now grow some balls, and kick the hell out of him. Let it know that the bigger me inside you is the real boss after all. lol

But..... the bigger question is: can you do it (stop him from sh!tting in your life for one more second hereafter)? Come back after 3 more months and give us your report, that's all the time you have on your side now -- and the only way you have: to grow up and move forward from where you are at present... :)

OutOfTown, are you still using that old silly black and gold theme? Ha, it's all about the blue and white BHW theme now.
VDYLPF9

Hahaha, this might as well be a theme option for some of the threads that have been popping up lately.

How about you TRY to get rejected. Make that your goal, then you'll be making calls with no worries and sales will happen because the pressure is off.

Just have fun man.. don't be scared to screw with people a bit and if they act rude just be overly nice to piss them off even more. Make a game of it.

I've been in businesses with fairly large cold calling departments. And it's not like these people just wake up 1 day and decide, "I wanna call 1000 random strangers today".

Like my brother. One day we got the idea to cold call as a way to find customers. He got out yellow pages and started making 1 call after another after another after another. This was random, unsolicited, ice cold traffic. The worst way to get leads. Then he handed me the phone and said, "what? are you afraid"? I was like, "hell yeh dude... I can't talk to strangers like you do". Then he gave me the whole boiler room speech.

"They're not real people. It's just noise with wallets. You're job is to make that noise say no or yes. It's that simple".

He gave me the phone. I refused to dial.

So he took the phone and dial'd for me. He got some guy talking and built a bit of rapport. Then he said something pretty rude that I'll never forget... "you sound like one dumb, broke bastard". Then he shoved the phone in front of my face as this guy started shouting, "WHO THE FUCK IS THIS? I WANT THE NAME OF YOUR COMPANY!!! I'M GONNA FUCKING SUE YOU PIECE OF SHIT" rah rah rah.

The guy just shouted for like 10 seconds then eventually hung up.

And my brother was like, "was that so hard"? I started LMAO. Then he said, "if you can deal with that then you can call anyone".

So I dialed some woman up. I was nervous as hell, voice cracking and everything and she hung up. Tried again, same thing. People hanging up one after another after another. But as I'm failing over and over my brother is INTENTIONALLY failing to make me feel better. Like every other call if he sensed it wasn't going well he start making fun of the person he was talking to. I would immediately hang up just to listen to him make fun of a complete stranger.

And yes, this was most definitely illegal what we were doing.

But it was fun and I learned not to give a fuck.

I'm not sure if I could pick up a phone right now and just start cold calling people. But a great way to "practice" is to block you number and just prank or harass people. If you can do that..... you can definitely cold call people.

edit: Apex1 got in before me but I completely agree with him.

If you can:
I give, because i belive this place is made to help others, share knowledge. We all have learned here alot and we have debt to pay.

Same pinch buddy! We grew and learned here from other members. We nurture with the help of each other and I think that's what make BHW the best place I know, better than most beautiful real life places, atleast for me. And those who do not want to grow helping each other can go to hell ------> DP/Wafo/whatever !!!!!

I fkingg love you all!

22 calls made in 40 minutes - 8 email addresses from people who are interested fkk yes!

Gonna keep going thank yu all :d

8 initial contacts from 40 mins is pretty good... go hard!

That's a freaking hard job, man. But you need to calculate how much you can earn by that in perspective.

And for me it always works to do the worst job first thing in the morning. For the first time, it doesn't really mean whether you will succeed, but you'll definitely get used to it. And plan something you really enjoy just after.

But if calculation shows you can hardly make a few bucks - does it really make sense to suffer like that? Perhaps hire someone else fo this job and pay him half the profit? :D

Try to make what everyoane makes.... start -> fail -> fail more > fail again > learn > succed
