Yes.. sometimes after 5-6 dm.. sometimes after 20+ dm..
I wait like 1h and start dming again

How many dms do you make per day and say that you are not satisfied with dming.
Usually 50+ per day.
I DM untill gets block.. wait.. repeat..

Send DM only to the user who follow you back. Dont send to everyone because its just useless, they will not check requests msgs. Even if they check, they will ignore because they are not interested in your msgs.
One more thing use less text in your msgs. No one will read your whole paragraph in the msg.
If you are doing manually, then do it like a real user. For example 1st send him a msg like hi/hello and send some greetings just to interect with him. After that send your msg, this time he will read your msg 100%

For the past 6 years. Theres an old IG question and answer thread deep in the archives from a couple years ago that I started.
It was thought to be software related, but the blocks are tied to the accounts. There is alot of disinformation out there that you have to weed out. But I can promise you no one is sending 100 DMs per account right now.. neither by hand, or with automation.
It is really hard and time consuming since I do it manually.. get block after 5-10 DM now.
