Very true, except for low level stuffs. All you need to bother about are logic, and how to take a problem and turn it into smaller steps and solve one by one. Language syntax is usually a documentation reading away.dumb question seriously!

Well, dumb idk but I totally agree with what you say, I think the most important thing is clearly to understand how algorithms work, the logic behind them and understand the different programming paradigms.dumb question seriously!

Home assistant is pretty solid though, if you are looking for automation (should involve python and a littlebit of yaml definitions).
