If whitehat Local SEO is dead, bullshit at thgis point...what is best way to drive local traffic to local businesses... contractors, roofers, plumbers, sites? Everythign seems dead and wont move. You cannot rank for exact match keywords/long tail keywordfs... its all fucked now.

All the info i read seems to be pretty much bullshit too... so if that's the case. What is next? Advertise on street benches?

Ive read abotu negative seo, screwing with the other guys citation sites.... so things dont all match. that seems to be only useful bit of new info. what do u fuckers think?:)

Please excuse my language, in kind of a cussy mood today.

If you can't rank for local long tail keywords (the easiest keywords on the planet) then you might need to go back to the drawing board because what you've been doing is clearly not working out.

WH SEO is only dead in the sense that all SEO is dead, I've gone and automated the process due to having a large client with a whole lot of locations and ranking each location for a variety of KWs was a cinch.

Local seo is not dead, as global seo) Build citations, build quality web2.0s, quality PBN links and your site will dominate.

Local SEO can't be dead, it can't be half-dead, it's alive and kicking. What's happened is that the means to achieving this end have changed considerably over the past two years. If you didn't change your tactics along with it, nothing you do would move, every thing will be static if not going in the opposite direction.

You have to check out the newest recommendations rather than throw in the towel.

For people that keep saying SEO is, let the dead bury their dead.

For local SEO citation and directory listing is what you need.

Local SEO is not dead. You just need to be sure that Google knows your site is focused around a specific area, rather than niceh. Brand every page with your company's name and address, including city and state. This will help Google identify that your site is related to a specific local area.

Include images of local areas (if applicable, tagged with your company name/city/state and keyword).

Verify your details in Yelp and CitySearch.

Just a few ways to help your local business rank better for local searches.
