Some articles of mine are spread across different categories, I've backlinked some in one category and some in another. However, obviously they both share the same permalink keyword (not the category).

In this situation, is removing the categories to focus on the keyword only as a URL the better option?

can you give an example of your URLs (using variables, not revealing your actual keyword or URL, obviously)?

Are you talking about something like this?

    domain.com/category-1/keyword-x
    domain.com/category-2/keyword-x

    ?

    Exactly.

    Is that bad?

Maybe I should just use domain.com/keyword-x
