IE9 jsut released today (microsoft.com/ie). My first take - it's noticably faster. Not that I had real complaints about IE8. I'll need to play more to be able to comment on the other changes, but it's seems worth a look.

Saying IE9 is faster than IE8 is like saying you just put turbo boosters on your pet turtle.

A rabbit can still move faster! :)

edit: Only joking guys! :)

Microsoft is trying to compete with Google on every level. I wonder if IE9 is even as fast as firefox.

I downloaded IE9 beta or w/E a while back and all i can say my bots with Ubot work hell lot better and faster. Also i like the simplicity of ie9 UI. Still use mozilla mainly But i like ie9 too a lot

You could say you put turbo on your lada. Well it might be shit still but with itll be fast till it breaks (which probably is quite soon if you don't rebuild 3/4 of the motor with aftermarket parts :D)

im really not confortable using IE any version coz many times rootkits and virus related stuff goes tru it... so i keep with my firefox , i guest microsoft now its trying to get a fasted browser like google`s

Funny, I've been using IE since I switched from Netscape, that must have been > 10 years ago. I've never had any malware whatsoever. I guess I must be doing something wrong.

Chrome will spank any browser out there for speed and the add-ons are improving everyday.

I really hope IE fixed at least some of the problems they have with transparency, javascript and a load of other issues.

You probably figured out how to pay via the the cat payment gateway so you wouldn't get any malware.

Kudos to you and the horse you rode in on!

I second that!... Chrome all the way! :D

Ive been using Firefox for years, but I did use Chrome for a few months, it's great but has SERIOUS performance issues once you add like 12 add-ons such as RoboForm.

Just downloaded the new firefox, it kept all my addons and seems to work MUCH faster.

I like firefox for addons but opera is beloved to me, so quick. I was using the beta of IE9 for a bit but it's still not good enough for me.

I can't use IE anymore. I respect the improvements they've made on their browser, but they still suck. Compared to my Firefox interface, Internet Explorer is ugly and bloated. On top of that, it's been like the red headed step child when it comes to web design. Seriously, almost every exception I have had to make while programming is for IE. I would wipe the browser off the face of the planet if I could.

Chrome for browsing
Firefox for developing
Iinternet Explorer for swearing at for its fucked up interpretations of css rules.

Just checked my site designs with IE9. Can't believe it's still not supporting css text shadows and background gradients. That's not the way you design a browser in the year 2011.

Did you really expect better? It's Micro$hit. They are literally the thorn in the side of the internet.

They did add some vague typography support, but that's pretty much all that they added of interest. It's amazing how far they are behind in support.

Yaaaa i like it so far 2. I have tested it, it has come a long way from recent versions

Just tried it and hell yeah its fast but...

Thumbs up for chrome!!!
