It's Friday!!! Freaks come out!

A few days ago I become moderator of an amazing subreddit. Now out of nowhere the previous moderator come back and does a request to get the subreddit back reason being couldn't moderate due to covid..

I had to clear a few hundred threads, a few thousand comments, ban a few dozen spam accounts and answer the modmails all going back 14months.. (did do this together with another mod, who also cleared a few hundred items).

So guys if you use covid as a reason to get something back. Think what you've done to lose it in the first place.. There was a highly active sticky Bitcoin/altcoin link in the sub which was the first thing that got deleted, which is probably why he is pissed.

You get the same thing when one takes over a FB group.

Ex Admin sends you a message asking how you hijacked their group.

I block them from the group.

I have software for that.

Been playing in the FB sandbox for 5 or so years now and it can still be quite profitable.

Can relate.

Whenever I used to mutiny, the old captain would always come back to try and take back over.

Wasn't so much a block function then, just a plank.

I believe you are able to claim groups that have no admins or if the administrator of the group has left, but I guess BTB's software does it way different.

If you are the admin of the group that was hijacked how would you feel? Put yourself in his shoes. Law of Karma will catch up with you very soon.

If you do not maintain your Admin status you lose it.

Use it or lose it.

Send the law of Karma my way anytime as the laws of FB trumps that when it comes to how FB operates.

I still have it, I just told him that even before covid the sub was neglected. But have to await for admins to respond, who will leave it in my hands as I am active and cleared up the mess

Blocking the moderator is not wise as I still need to respond to his request even though the subreddit cannot be taken over as the accounts are active. I can however ban him from the subreddit which I am going to do in a few days (using automoderator)
