Identify web owner for legal action

Are you looking to engage in some crazy legal battle here or do you just want him to remove your product from the site?

If its the latter, just contact the site and tell then straight up that theyre selling a product that belongs to you and they dont have a right to sell, and they have 72 hours to remove your product from their site or you will take legal action.

Anyone with half a brain will do as you say. Because even if you cant find out who this person is to sue him, you can always hit at his domain and hosting providers and probably get his site shut down.

From what you said this site sounds like it sells many things. So i dont think theyd risk losing their hosting account and having to migrate and all that time and energy and headache over 1 little product.

Thats what id do. Contact the site with a polite but firm message and lay down the law! :D

I've tried something like this, pretending to want to buy his website, but he's suspicious

Maybe try something more specific that makes them less suspicious. Guest post is one thing but some kind of "partnership" or something more simple in the beginning, something that gives them an interest, but looks coincidental, and escalate from there. Do they have a facebook page for instance?

Otherwise you would have to track information hoping to find something specific enough that... leads somewhere.

Thank you all, I've created a new thread asking how I could search for sites with the same Analytics code here:

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/tool-to-search-websites-with-the-same-code-as-analytics.1258828/
I think it's better to separate the threads so that people can find the other thread by the title.

It would help me to find other sites of this person where, perhaps, he identifies himself.

Thank you
