Identify web owner for legal action

Hi, friends. I use collective intelligence because recently a website dedicated to the piracy of audiovisual material has put on sale some video courses that belong to me. I'm trying to identify the owner of the website, but beyond the fact that they have a private whois, I haven't been able to make any progress. I thought about looking for other sites with the same IP, but they come out a lot. I have thought about looking for websites that share Analytics code, but I have not found any tool that works (spyonweb did not work for me in this search).

This has hurt me a lot because in times of the COVID I see that I have been left without business and now I would like to be able to identify the owner to report it.

I hope you can give me some good advice.

Or maybe just ask. Perhaps the pirate is reading this LOL
 
If its an old website or domain then you may be able to find the whois information using domaintools.com premium as they hold records of previous whois information.

PM me the domain, I'll take a look.
 
You could try reporting them to google for copyrighted content. They might end up deindexing them.

Also look up who there host provider is. To do this do a domain to IP search, then lookup who owns the IP. Go to host companies website and inform them and they might take the site down.

other than that, not really sure what else you can do.

Contact them to buy advertising space or a guest post and take it from there.
Ask for a quote, which should include their business details. Then check the company ownership on the company house database (or equivalent). etc..

I tried, but it's a very slow process. Every day the product goes through those sites, it loses value
 
1. you can always find the host and email them about copyright issue
2. You can email the domain registrar on abuse email address that is available on private whois.
 
Contact them from a none traceable email to you - reaching out saying you wouuld like to setup a meeting with the intension of buying the website and if he has other website in the same niche.

Thank you, I just tried this and that thing about buying your website. They don't collaborate, the only solution for me is to find their data, maybe in another property where they have them. I thought about looking for other sites with their same Analytics code but without success. I tried to login with his Google account, but I could only see the last two digits of his account recovery phone. I don't know if maybe the social networks could look for something, I don't know how to proceed to get out of this nightmare.
 
If the website is dedicated to the piracy then you probably won't do shit. Maybe if you are lucky and they didn't use offshore host and domain. You can try to email them with fake pre-court letter claiming your materials.

Thanks but I'm sure they are not professionals and have only followed the most basic security rules such as activating domain privacy and not putting your data on the web. I'm sure this is their profile and that they have not taken any more precautions

Thanks for all the answers, I'm very grateful, but does anyone have any idea how to identify other sites of this person besides sharing the same IP? Maybe on other legitimate non-hacking sites they did publish their data.

Google

"his-domain-name.com" -inurl:his-domain-name.com

That should give you a list of links to the site & maybe a few clues if he forgot to cover any of his tracks.
