Ideas to increase e-commerce sales/conversions?

I know paypal can be a pain, but the thing is a website which sells stuff and doesn't accept paypal will (IMHO) drive away lots of customers, even if they weren't going to use paypal to pay...

anyways, for the other payment methods, the more you have, the higher conversion rate you should get.

Implement a method in which you can email people you abandon there checkout carts. This can help ALOT considering some people will abandon there checkout cart for some reason, and you have the opportunity to talk them back into it.

How do you get their email though? Just if they enter it and then dump?

Magento has a built in report with "abandoned carts", its people who put stuff in their carts, started to fill in the checkout info and then for some reason didn't go thru with the order. I don't know about other platforms.

tbh, I followed up on these, like 20/ day for a company I used to work for, we would ask if there had been a technical problem or if they changed their mind, and we even offered a 10% discount if they would go through with the order.. less than 1% people replied and most of the time they said they finally decided to buy somewhere else or something... if they left your site when it was time to take the wallet out, chances are they won't bother replying to those emails.

Use this simple method that I've found years ago. Include the sentence "Buy from official website/dealer/etc.." in the ad banner.

Did u try a remarketing / retargeting campaign?
It's excellent for e-commerce sites - especially applying remarketing campaign using Google Analytics and the prices per click are a lot cheaper.

Interesting. Not sure HOW different it is from a regular ad's rate maybe, but cheaper IS better.
