Over the past few weeks Iv been looking into getting into online marketing and read numerous threads. Iv had my main idea and got the site ideas down on paper, but I can't get this other idea out of my head and wondered if anyone had tried it and had any success with it.
THE METHOD
Building the list is very difficult unless you try, test, try, test and find out what works which can take time online to get it right so I was thinking of how you could build a list in the offline world.
It would cost a bit to set up probably about $200 so that is my concern, but you would create a flyer for a competition something that would convert like crazy and a lot of different types of people would be interested in. You can definately make these offers seasonal, at this time of the year gift cards would be a great easy seller, so I would start off with something like "we have 10 $10 amazon gift cards available for your chance to collect please visit............. and fill in out simple form.
Costs
Depending on the size of the flyer you could probably get 10,000 a5 for $90
10 amazon gift vouchers $10x10 =$100
delivery I would do it myself but there are companies who specialise in this, I would focus on giving them to people coming out of the job center of in shopping malls etc.
The other option is straight to peoples houses!!!
WEBSITE
You will need a simple landing page with an email collection point, and a good looking small sales page/picture
It theory it should work but like online I guess it would need a lot of trial and error!! Would be really interested if anyone else has used this or tried this or whether they do it with CPA offers???
I just feel like if you can build a list of 500+ email addresses with a $200 you could really scale up
