I would like a mentor

I second Meathead1234's statement. I have a bachelors, law and MBA degree from U.S. schools but IM is a way of life for me. My law income combined with my IM income brings in far more than my other lawyer-friends. I hope to drop the law job altogether in the near future to earn even more money than I currently do...

I have a degree from a top UK university and I earn more than 99.9% of my "real" friends who are in top city jobs. I'm not saying that to brag, I'm just saying that it is possible - and I'm not even close to being a top earner on here. Don't assume that because we earn via IM that we aren't well educated - it's a common misconception and isn't really true. Some of the smartest and most savvy people I've ever met have been on forums like this.

You should easily be able to pay for your college education with IM, in fact, that's where a lot of people start.

You should also be prepared to invest your own money along the way, as it makes life far easier and allows you to scale to income levels that aren't as easy with all free traffic etc.

Coeus, I feel that a lot of people are attacking you for taking this as a 'hobby' or perhaps they are offended and maybe think that you are casting IM aside as if its not worth your full attention.

I'd like to say that, taking this as a hobby is a great way to approach IM, afterall, calling this a hobby implies that you enjoy learning about it and thinking things through, experimenting and seeing what happens. IM requires lots of enthusiasm (you have it), so long as you just keep coming back to it (you sound like you will) I think you stand a great chance of success.

Yeah I think you see where I am coming from, I love doing this and I love learning, I just termed it a hobby because I cant devote the amount of time needed to call this more. I do intend on taking it further its just going to take me a little time. I didnt mean to offend anyone.

Once I have my summer, I will be on this full time. I just cant exactly quit my good job and school.

thanks again to everyone who has contributed to this.

Asking for a Mentor and/or Coaching is against the boards TOS.

i just checked, and that rule seems to have been removed.

it may be a good idea to reinstall it to protect the newbies from scammers who would charge them for info.
