Well I would like a mentor. I am not looking for someone to spoon feed me! I am looking for someone to turn to when I have a question, or needing help in the right direction or just someone to talk to about similar topics.

An important thing to note about me; I am not looking to make a whole lot of money here, I would be more than satisfied with just making enough to pay for my domains and hosting. This is really becoming a big hobby for me, and I would really like to become a bigger part of the community but that comes with time, experience and knowledge.

If anyone would be interested I would really appreciate it.

Everyone here is a mentor in one way or another, but the one mentor who can teach you the best is yourself!
 
Yeah I know im learning a lot from everything I read, I just dont want to be that annoying guy on the boards, or the one who always asks that dumb question, id like to have someone who I could go to that wouldnt mind every now and then lol and hopefully I could also make some contributions to the person as well, if not now eventually I dont just want to be a free loader.
 
Unfortunately I dont really have the funds to pay you? I was kind of hoping for a free type deal?

well here is my biggest question we can probably call it the dumb of the day...

I have built my niche site and I have launched it now what? what can I do to make it successful? where do I go from here?

I have had a site in the past it was pretty much a fail :x all i did was build it and launch it but that was never aimed to make money, it was simply a site designed to help people learn how to build html websites, because it is something I enjoyed and wanted to share my knowledge with other people who wanted to learn how.

any insight on this topic anyone?

I'm no money making master yet, but I'm good at PHP and have gotten to the point where I'm making enough affiliate commission coming in every month to pay for hosting and domains.

You should ask your questions on the forum first, but if that doesn't work you can PM me a few questions every now and then, don't always expect a reply but I'll try my best. Write my username down or add me to your contacts.
 
Just remember the names of people you like, follow and don't be scared to ask anything - Just check the search function before hand though ;_
 
I started off learning by getting the affilorama blueprint, then just read alot of forums like warrior forum and black hat world. What you really need to learn more than anything is off page SEO (getting your site number one basically) so do some heavy reading up on that.

An interesting site to read about SEO would be seobythesea but its maybe a tad bit advanced, but its still a good read though, it'd make you understand how complicated and sophisticated Google really is. Hope that helps.

Your first issue is saying this is a Hobby. For most of this this is a way of life. This is our job and this is what we do to support our families.
 
I dont understand how having this as a hobby is an issue? Its something I enjoy? I cant really make this my main source of income, I dont really think it could ever pay as well as my current career path. I am not looking to turn money here, but making something would make me feel a little more accomplished.

This is so far from the truth it's not even funny. If you genuinely believe what you just said you should probably not bother with IM.

Plenty of people on here make FAR more than you could ever earn in a regular job.

Im going to school to be an anesthesiologist but ok. I mean if it is possible I will see firsthand hopefully. Id like to be able to fund more free projects and try and get more people involved and educated in this hobby of mine but I dont want to invest my own money, I also want to get rolling on building an electric car that would be sweet if adsense could pay for it lol, most of what I make will just be reinvestments, im not really a greedy person, im in this for others as well. I mean if it is truly possible to make insurmountable amounts of money that could pay for my schooling I would be even more interested, because we all know what kind of substantial investment education is.

I have a degree from a top UK university and I earn more than 99.9% of my "real" friends who are in top city jobs. I'm not saying that to brag, I'm just saying that it is possible - and I'm not even close to being a top earner on here. Don't assume that because we earn via IM that we aren't well educated - it's a common misconception and isn't really true. Some of the smartest and most savvy people I've ever met have been on forums like this.

You should easily be able to pay for your college education with IM, in fact, that's where a lot of people start.

You should also be prepared to invest your own money along the way, as it makes life far easier and allows you to scale to income levels that aren't as easy with all free traffic etc.
