I wonder why some people, including you, perceive Nigel as "overly opinionated and hyper aggressive" spewing 'rants and self righteous nonsense' and other people, including me, perceive him as stating facts rather concisely?
Just wondering what causes the difference in perceptions, that's all...

As I stated in my response, his posts aren't exclusively overly opinionated and hyper aggressive. You can still be right but overly opinionated and hyper aggressive in the same post. He actually makes really good points that I agree with completely in multiple posts. Its the way in which you convey what you're trying to say. Its not hard to read the posts in this thread to see what I'm talking about. Being abrasive and rude doesn't help get your point across, that's all I'm trying to say.

If you want an unbiased opinion, and you are talking about who is wrong as far as from an IM point of view, I would say you are wrong based on the information you gave IMHO. Why did you not deal with the guy directly? If the middle guy was suppose to take all the risk, then that also should of been discussed. If I was the middle guy, I would challenge your claim, and probably win because Paypals "virtual goods" rule. Why would I take all the risk, when you are the only one that stands to gain?
If we are speaking morally wrong, then I would say half the scammers fault, half your fault. IMHO

As a heads up paypal will NOT give you your money back on digital goods. They just won't. If you used paypal as a proxy for a purchase with a creditcard you will get your money back in about 6 weeks. As others have mentioned you should have known a little better. From what I remember from your posts 600$ is not going to break your bank. File a dispute with your creditcard if you have done it that way and move on.
