Youtube giveaway and CPA lock sites would be silly. If you think they would be profitable, you don't really need to even own an iPad. So if thats the route you want to take, just do it. If you don't make enough money from it, just be like oh sorry contest is cancelled bye. The people who do these giveaways don't actually plan on giving away an iPad.
If you will never use it, try selling it on craigslist first, and then ebay. Or maybe put some postings up in a local college/university for sale. Ebay should be your last resort due to fake bidders/scammers/service fees.
Try all the free options of selling first.

My wife is on hers more than her laptop. We initially bought a droid but my step son was over the house one day and really liked the droid so we gave it to him.
Then I went and bought my wife the iPad... much nicer and very functional.
I'd be keeping it... it will come in handy if you travel too.

just make a site saying free ipad something...
then post your real ipad pics for proof

use it for promotion.... ask your friends to keep it in their hands an take photo of them... post those photos one by one to your giveaway site as "proof" that people is receiving ipads... easy 8)
