I can't really offer you any info on how to obtain free credits however I do know that these are generally sent at random from either Facebook or Facebook partners to get people to use their advertising platform. Note that even though you get free credits from one of these sources, Facebook will still require you to enter credit card information in order to take advantage of the deal. After the credits are used up they start billing you.

You can purchase or acquire facebook credits all over the place. Google it. Search for it. It's a pretty straight forward concept.
