One of my websites I am hosting on, I need to switch plans, so the live chat suggested changing to xyz plan.

I have no issue with doing that money wise or anything, but it will change from a shared IP to a dedicated IP. Now my URL will by the same but obvs the IP address will change.

Will this effect rankings in anyway or will everything still link OK?

    Thanks, guys!!

No change at all, what you could expect is a boost of crawls

plus it's better to have blog on dedicated IP - so it's really good move

    Location:
    Kyiv, Ukraine
    Home Page:
If the IP of your new server belongs to the same region (i.e. same datacenter, city, country etc) of your target group, then you will experience no changes in ranking. However if the region is changed, you might (or might not) experience a tiny bit of change in ranking. Per our experience, google might use the location of your hosting as a ranking factor, but the effect of this factor is almost negligible and often temporary.

IP has nothing to do with ranking. Except of the cases when your site is hosted on a cheap shared host alongside with tons of doorways and pharma sites, then G can ban you just because of this bad neighborhood.
